So I have to ask...with all of the scope choices in the VX Freedom price point, what sold you on that scope? I'm asking because I was considering buying one, but have been finding a lot of other brands that seem to offer way more for the same cost. Specifically, Hawke Vantage (slightly less $) and Vanguard Endeavor RS (slightly more $).

Excellent question. Thank you. A few years ago, I made a decision on the size scope I like and for this rifle, I will use it on high altitude hunts and will be carrying the rifle for great distances. The VX weighs under 1 lb. I am not familiar with the size and weights of the ones you mentioned. So I can’t speak to them. I hope this helps.

@@peterogers1795 it does...both of those brands have various sizes of scopes with a multitude of features. A 3-9x40 in the Hawke weighs 14.2 oz, which is the scope I was most interested in compared to the Leupold VX Freedom.

Depends on your rifle action. I went with medium for the CVA Cascade
