Good stuff, Sven - lots of sensible and practical ideas. You always make me laugh out loud (in a good way) and I have a new word ‘relaxion’ 😂 You might also think about saying more about being a good partner. There are a few people I sometimes have to play with who really impact me negatively in games by pointing out my mistakes when I already know what I did wrong.

Great tips! I used to play a lot of volleyball when I was younger, and also there it was/is very important to start each point with a clean (mental) slate. So I feel it is something I do almost naturally (also of course: playing padel on very recreative level, but still I have high expectations of my own play). What does feel harder for me in padel, playing with various partners, is how to keep this positive mental attitude going as a pair, but your tip: discussing the game-plan could help in that regards, take the focus away from the error, focus on the next game. Thanks!

Excellent tips! Definitely having the right mindset or getting to know how to come back to it makes the difference when playing, you might not win but still feel good and positive after the match. Unsure wasting time its a great tip though haha that could upset people, but taking all your assigned time instead -wether needed or not- its a great one to break opponents flow! I would like to see more of this videos!

I've some tricks: After a lousy ball, I turn to the rear glass and don't turn again until I'm ready to play again. Twenty secons are a lot of seconds to make you calm. Between the games, I ever take the toall, dry face and think what to do in the next game. What serve is working to each opponent? What shots are making more damage in the other team? Etc. The key is to manage the times of the game. Rule the match! Ha, ha, ha!!

The hardest situation to deal with for me is when you make a mistake in a crucial point, let' s say a game point or a set point. You really feel like that is the mistake that will make the difference between victory and defeat. I am not sure if the best strategy would be to just try to forget about it or use the disappointment as a lever to do better in the next crucial point...
@OtroNivelPadel Жыл бұрын
Whatever works is good, there is nothing you can change about previous points. You should learn from mistakes and use that intelligence and win the next points.

Great Sven. This is me 😂 Different issue: My playing partner and I seem to be in a rut. Good rut - we nearly always win the first set. Bad rut - we always seem to lose the second set. It's not like we're worried about losing the second set while we're playing it. But our accuracy seems to drop in the second. Happened to you? What to do? Thanks.
@OtroNivelPadel Жыл бұрын
When you win the first set, it is statisticly proven that yout heartrate drops. Which means you are less aware/focust. So you have to jump/ activate your feet when you are not playing. In that way you will keep focus because your heartrate is still good.
@josepmontesinos19943 жыл бұрын
All good, but the tip about disrupting the flow of your opponents, which I would only use it in competitions. Socially I enjoy everyone playing the best they can. It's like putting someone in the fridge, which, in my opinion, is unacceptable in social games, where my goals in order are: 1) no injuries, 2) everybody happy and willing to play again next week, 3) good standard of play, 4) good communication with partner, 5) try something new: technically and/or tactically.
