Great video. The first shot in the crawling part looked like it was out of a movie, with the light and the fog in the background. I emailed Injora once, saying they should make a 1.3 version of the 64mm rock terrains that kinda look like a hyrax, but not super large like maybe 68mm. They didn't listen 😢

Cool Idea. And looks like anyone with a 3D printer can make sth. similar. 2:50, i wish they made bigger ones, just now looking at my rig with the 70 mm Cling Ons and though any smaller would look weird.

So I took the dual stage ring and then what used to come like on the OG RC pins at real thin little white strip of foam or really really good and then also you can take something like this or something like a dual stage and cut that fridge foam wrap it around there and it's super squishy

one of these days, there will be tires with a very small sidewall/profile on a big wheel to compare to its own counter part of small wheel big sidewall of same diameter width. there is only so much squish we normally get in this scale. glad you didn't use the word to cheat code like other yt rc's are using to describe something that make crawling easier

you can already do that with the Injora 'trepador' inspired tires. you get the normal Injora ones (62mm iirc) and you have some on ali (even Meus iirc) who are selling 1.2/1.3 wheels with the same 'trepador' inspired tires (so quite a bit less sidewall)

@@AnyAssumptionBanter my absolute favorite setup at the moment is the old Injora pins (1.0) stretched onto 1.3 wheels. With the stretch you don’t need a different foam because the sidewall is perfect. It’s just enough that you have amazing squish but not much roll on sidehill. Those or the Injora silicones cut way down have been killing it in my scrubbed out landmines lol

i cut out the center of the DJCrawler 68mm to fit on my 1.3" wheels(cr18p evo pro, you're right they're too big for scx). The XHX are good when new, but they are worse now, and even when new the DJCrawlers are better

i was talking about the 72mm xhx pins, the 60mm pins are working great . I dont know why they crowded the pin spacing so much on the 72mm, it doesnt resemble the 60mm or the 1/10 1.9" versions either, which i like on my Capra

I got a couple videos proving dual stage foam versus inserts I got inserts in the black labels and they you know wrinkle up really good it just bounce like crazy when you're trying to find some sleep now I got dual stage in the 68 millimeter DJ crawler pin and they're super soft just like the black labels they wrinkle about 4 or 5 mm into the tire so they're soft about 4 or 5 mm into the tire so much better with phone versus inserts I know it's two different tires but the compound is very close the thinness of the tire you know I've been saying it for a while and when Matt started saying it I'm like you know what I'm going to go back to foam and see how it does

im really curious how these would be in lgrp black labels. im in the same boat you are in with inserts. love that silicones help prevent that sidewall fold but not a fan of the rebound silicones cause.

@@SeizedBCG Id like to try something like a 50-52mm munchkin for a tire in that range. I just need a very little bit of sidewall support and all the foam I can get lol
