To be honest, really the best mini pc I have seen so far! And with an AMD cpu it should be stable as well! 😊

I love mini-PCs. Small, easy to move around, and offer great value for casual desktop users. Tower desktops with an extreme GPU are still better for professional video editors, tournament gamers, or high-end engineers. However, most people are not into those professions and hobbies.

This looks amazing, I'd put it inside my main PC if the case were big enough.

I am a newbie when it comes to networking and NAS solutions, but I have a idea of one I want to try but I’m unsure if it’s feasibility. My solution to a small NAS is to use a mini-PC (Beelink Mini S12 Mini PC) with a 128GB NVME M.2 for the OS and Urbackup as the NAS software solution, a 4Tb SATA 2.5 SSD for interior storage expansion. That’s for the first part, the further expansion plan is to attach a 4 Bay HDD Cage Chassis, connecting it to the Beelink through a NVME M-Key PCI Express to SATA 3.0 Adapter Converter Hard Drive Extension Card. My only unsure portion of the NAS, is my decision to power the 4 Bay Chassis using a Pico UPS (24pin DC ATX PSU 12V DC Input DC 12V 150-watt Pico PSU) as the power source attaching a COMeap ATX Power Jumper Cable to turn the chassis on/off. On paper it seems as if it should work but of course like I stated I’m a newbie. What do you think? Would it work?

wow that is bling bling, was this a promo unit cause you are a reviewer or is this a standard model? I am on my Ser7 Pro typing this. Very much like this miniPC, Definately going to keep an eye on this for black friday. Currently want to upgrade the RAM if DDR5 ram comes down in price from 32GB to 64GB.

What was the room temperature? What fan settings were used? I'm not achieving such temperature values with the latest BIOS and default settings. My CPU is about 8 to 10 degrees warmer.

Do you have any plans to compare the BeeLink SER8 (with the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS & Radeon 780M) to the Miniforum 'AtomMan G7 Pt' (with the AMD Ryzen 9 7945HX & Radeon RX 7600M XT)? Yes, the AtomMan is priced a bit more, but considering the performance benefits of both the 7945HX (perhaps 90% faster [in some benchmarks] than the 8845HS) and the 7600M XT (perhaps 60% faster [in some benchmarks] than the 780M), it might be a better long term investment. Now, only if it included the 7900M, which seems to have 300% better GPU benchmarks than the 780M....

Was looking to replace my Wifi's iMac 21.5" mid 2011 with 12GB Ram and 1TB SSD (SATA), and came across the GMKTec K8 7840HS, 32GB DDR5-5600, 1TB Gen 4 Drive for $474.00 What are your thoughts and should see notice a significant improvement in her use case. Primarily Multiple Chrome Tabs (4-5) with around 30-80 Tabs open in each in addition to Outlook and Gmail being opened. She uses Lightroom Classic 6 to organize your 290,000 Images and videos but only does light editing and on occasion. I would say 70-75% Web 20-30% Email and 5-10% Lightroom on occasion. What are your thoughts on this I heard the other units that had metal (Aluminum) chasis had very poor wifi as opposed to this one with a plastic case. Waiting to receive it in a few days to suprise her, would love your input.

@tricky_hy2892Ай бұрын
@@chidorirasenganz still has less ram and storage lol. If you just want to match the storage and ram that mac mini will be like 2X the price of this so yeah... And it's windows you can play eSports games easily.
@tuber2khАй бұрын
careful -- the link he posted goes to multiple systems on the page. I checked one ryzen 9 option and it changed from a Ser8 to an Ser6, so I'm not sure all those options are all this same design with the new type of cooling.
@chidorirasenganzАй бұрын
@@tricky_hy2892 You don’t have to get internal storage though. You can get a Satchi hub with a built in m.2 slot that can take whatever nvme ssd you want to use. To max out the ram on the base m2 (24g) it’s $999 which is far from double the price. If you care about esports games then yeah you’ll have better luck but anything else can run through crossover/gptk
