It is a great car and as u said the electronics setup it comes with is crazy as it is the same as in hpi wr8 rally car and that is a 1/9 scale car so when u think about that is why the price is as high as it. I still believe though it is worth every penny as there is nothing out there in this catagory that is as much fun and crazy at the same time to use. Is a great review of it and i hope that hpi do start to regain there name back after a bad 10 years

Especially on their older OG models. Savage X4.6 V1 cost almost 300$ more brand new than it did 10 years ago with zero updates.

Love HPI but their parts support is ass. Been on the fence with this one for a while. Looks to be pretty durable.

Great review, but I think the durability and quality are reflected in the price, which is unfortunate. This is where you run into the cost/benefit engineering. They engineered it with throwing price considerations out the window. Had they been a little more cost conscious it might have scored a little lower but still been a better option than any generic Chinese brand out there even at $50-$75 more. But considering what you can buy for $350 these days, I think HPI missed the mark.
