I got the Smallrig 2331 L-bracket for my A6400. More expensive but absolutely gorgeous and has a magnetic mini screw driver for adjustments.

I appreciate your review! esp mentioning the L-bracket for A6400... they no longer sell it on amazon but they have it on eBay... I was thinking of getting the full uurig but I opted for the L-bracket... I have the same L-bracket with handle for my RX100 m3 also bought from eBay. Once again thank you for reviewing another option... :)

It depends on what you are capturing. I'm a long time user of Rode Video Mics but I'm really liking what's coming out of Deity Mics lately, just haven't spent much time with one yet.

Jerad, Help me out regarding a camera or lens selection. I am strictly a hobby photographer. I don’t have any particular type i.e. landscape, portraits, etc that I lean toward. I just shoot anything interesting. Would like to do some street photography. Have an old Leica M8 and five lenses for it. I just bought a Sony A7iii with a24-70/ 2.8 lens. Took the Sony to a riverside restaurant last night and everybody was staring at like I was a tourist it was so big. I’d also like to do some wildlife photography, maybe some birds. SOOOOOoooo! What do I do? My thoughts are purchase a Sony 70-200 lens with a 1.4x or 2x teleconverter AND (your advice) purchase a discreet camera. This is where I’m stumped. I love Leica but think Sony is a better camera. I bought a Techart Pro that converts my Leica manual lenses to autofocus on my A7iii. I don’t have a camera store anywhere near me to check cameras. I depend on B&H. Do I go for the Leica Q2 with the fixed lens or one of Sony’s 6400,6500 or to be released 6700 or 7000 or whatever they are going to call it or possibly Leica CL. I guess what I really need help deciding is which small camera should I get. Or maybe just some small lens for the A7iii. I’d appreciate any advice you can offer. Yes it would fit. There may be some extra room due to the slightly smaller body.

This is a perfect example of piss-poor merchandising. Sony should have realized that the hotshoe + microphone would block the flippy screen. The A6400 was blasted all over the Internet because of this problem. If Sony had decent merchandising, they should have either offered an accessory like this or linked to an accessory like this. That would have preempted the bad press that the A6400 received from "EXPERT" bloggers.

BTW: I don't blog but, I really love the AF capabilities of the A6400 as well as the "My Menu" capability of that camera...
