Thanks for the tutorial 😁. I am originally from Nepal, but moved to Germany when I was 5. I have missed authentic nepali momos a lot, I have been to many Nepali restaurants here as well but they tasted so dull and horrible, nothing like the momo I used to know. But now I can try out for myself

@samjhanashrees74283 жыл бұрын
@@tenzindhaesel2614 The history of momo in Nepal dates back to as early as the fourteenth century. Momo was initially a newari food in the katmandu valley. It was later introduced to Tibet, China, and as far a way as Japan by a Nepalese princess who was married to a Tibetan king in the late fifteenth century. 🙏

@@samjhanashrees7428 maybe the website u copied from is not true?! Look at Wikipedia, the most trusted website. FYI, momo is a Tibetan word, after Tibetans came to Nepal they start selling momos on street. Laphing as well, lot of these were seen selling in Nepal by Nepalese.

@@tenzindhaesel2614 I think it’s doesn’t matter where momo was introduced before … it’s delicious that’s why nowadays almost every Asian country knows how to make just the name is different… likewise to be talking about food dishes there are lots of common food in different countries which are related to each other’s just the name and some ingredients are different . You can’t be supposed to wasting your time on every single food that where they were introduced at first … we are human beings and we do learning process . It’s better to appreciate each other’s culture, religion and food , dear we are living in a 21st century … human being are all same it’s just a blood and flesh… no offense it was just my point my view we have to respect and learn each other’s culture and religion

Why baking soda? What does baking soda do in stuffing meat? I am more curious. Reply me plzz
@NatashaApang3 жыл бұрын
It makes the meat tender and gives it a velvet smooth texture.
@MayraHoy3 жыл бұрын
I wondered the same thing! Another question. Do I have to use MSG? Is there a significant purpose for it?
@NatashaApang3 жыл бұрын
@@MayraHoy msg is just a flavor enhancer. It really helps bring out the flavor of the onion, garlic and meats. You can just use the salt and that should be enough. But msg does make it taste good. It won’t taste bad without it
