That is called damp mopping . There is another way called wet mopping where you dip out a mophead full of mop water with ¼ cup of bleach mixed in and do not wring the water out of the mop , but spread the mophead of water out over 100- 200 square feet area and let it soak 5 to 8 minutes scrubbing a little . Then you rinse the mop in the bucket and wring it out dry and mop up the dirty water off of the floor . Dump the mop bucket into the drain and rinse and wring the mop 3 times with another bucket of clear water and dump the rinse water . Let the mop airdry . Tip : Dry the floor with a dry paper towel to prevent hazing streaks from appearing in 3 days later .
