Any tips on polishing stainless steel? We use high quality micro fiber dedicated only for stainless steel & have tried multiple stainless steel aerosol products but they all seem to not wipe evenly. I mostly see this on elevators & fridge doors. Thanks you for the priceless knowledge!!

We've had a good experience with 3M's Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish. Because it is a cleaner combined, it isn't as uneven or greasy. Hope this helps! Thanks for leaving a comment!

Hello, how often do you clean (wash) the mop head for a general area and how often do you clean (wash) the mop head for the bathroom? Do you wash with bleach or just detergent?
@RTG-FAMILY3 ай бұрын
Daily and bathroom mop heads are never crossed into other areas. You'd need a new head

In that case you would need to dilute the chemical yourself using precise measurements. This is why we highly recommend having a wall mounted or portable dilution station. All you have to do is run water through it and it dilutes the chemical for you.

So for household use (not commercial) is using an oceder/bona type mop doing anything?
@OctoCleanMedia8 ай бұрын
They definitely work! (I have an O-Cedar myself.) The products shared and discussed in this video are perfect for commercial use due to their durability and sustainability. They are built to last a long time and cover larger spaces, which is why they tend to be more expensive. Many household cleaning products, although useful in a home setting, are not as efficient in a commercial environment because they cannot withstand the same level of wear and tear.

Anyone know where we can get those osha label stickers?
@OctoCleanMedia11 ай бұрын
To clarify, they are not stickers made by OSHA. You can get secondary labels from the manufacturer of the product. That is why we work with Waxie. They supply them for free. Most other commercial cleaning manufacturers do too and that is the pro of working with these types of brands.

great video. i only add that you put out the wet floor cone(s) first. before your start mopping an area. I do that at my stores. before wet mop touches floor the wet floor cones go out to warn staff of wet floor area.

Why not use charged flat mops?
@OctoCleanMedia11 ай бұрын
Cleaning a space that size with a flat mop, especially if it were not maintained prior, would mean way more work replacing your microfiber to make sure you are cleaning the floors and not just moving dirt around. You would also need to touch the dirty microfiber to remove it vs not touching the tube mop at all when using a clamp handle. Our go to is always a microfiber tube mop for that reason, or an auto scrubber if available.
@melissaloosier996011 ай бұрын
What brand of microfiber tube mop do you like? The couple that I have tried are super heavy, heavier than the traditional cotton string mop.
@matt.16311 ай бұрын
@@melissaloosier9960I'd like to know as well. I've only tried one microfibre (looked like a string mop still) and it was twice as heavy but the one used in this video looks great.

@doloresleyva88108 ай бұрын
These techniques are pretty much necessary for industrial type cleaning of warehouses, offices and business but at home the very wet mop and technique are not ideal. At home or as in housekeeping when homes have newer laminate or other types of expensive flooring a slightly damp flat mop and the M-W front to back technique will clean the floors without wrecking your back because when done correctly the arms power and leverage of one leg will move the mop accordingly without twisting the entire spine. As time is of the essence with any mopping job using good ergonomic techniques to fit the job will do. For large areas the side to side mopping he does keeps a handle on time management but one should utilize a back support to prevent strain or injury due to all the spinal twisting. Remember that not all floors are the same and using the proper cleaner, type of mop and less water will prevent ruining expensive floors.

The tip on when to change water was appreciated. I cleaned an older apt building that didn't have available water in the third complex. I toted a 5 gallon hot water only bucket and a slightly soapy one to rinse in addition to the main bucket. Saved some trips, but a bit cumbersome. I wasn't too proud to search for professional info. Thanks for your advice.
