After I broke up with my ex and was heartbroken and lost and the relationship took such an emotional and mental toll on me that I developed insomnia for 8 months. I realized that the person I used to be was gone and I could never go back... I was truly broken. Then I started listening to these videos and realized that it was a defining point in my life. I had wiped a clean slate and had the opportunity to recreate myself. I wanted to be someone who was focused on their goals, grateful, caring, successful, disciplined, confident. All these traits that I didn't have. Then slowly and consistently I started to become that by listening to these motivational videos and reading and rewriting my goals. Now I've started my own business and creating life on my terms. So thank you for these.

Id hate to admit that im 22 and Im 2/3rds of the way getting my High School diploma at my local adult school because of bad choices I made. I feel so far away from my goals (going to a CC and transferring to a CSU), as if I'll never get there. My dream is to have a career in the science field, specifically astronomy. My husband and I were separated for three years he ended up IN CA being homeless and just beaten up by life, God told me to go to him, I literally got him off the streets and into rehab, during those six weeks we got so close and decided to give our marriage another try, he was still in California and I in NY, he left rehab before the three months mark and decided to go back to the woman he was seeing out there, three days after he left rehab he was killed by a drunk driver, on Christmas day 2020! Thete is literally no pain like this, if I didn't know God and found these videos I know I would be the one in rehab now. But after a year of mourning I had to talk to myself, O.K. Simone you got this! I left the job I hated and decided to become a Mental Health Counselor, I started walking and then added weights, then boxing, then kick boxing, feels good to hit something LOL. Keep going man, always looking forward, doesnt matter how hard it is, my father was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2015 when i was only 11, i saw my mother get beaten in front of me, saw my brother fithing with a broken leg in front of me and i couldnt move a muscle, and i had my fathers head in my hands while he was losing alot of blood due to one of his falls of the stairs, but i keep looking forward, its still hard to me because i know that my father has max 1 year of life and has many disabilities, but it doesnt matter, i will achieve everything that i want to make my family proud, whathever it takes, so never give up, good luck with your journey, i hope you succeed. I'm 32, a few months ago started living at home with my parents and my two brothers, I'm in debt, recently just went through a brutal break up, and I have been struggling with complex trauma spreads throughout my life. From combat ptsd to childhood. Life beat me down, and it's kept me in its dark embrace for years - but I learned to embrace the pain, and learn that all of that pain is a lesson, it breeds growth from the heart, its where true resolve is born. In the last few months I've began to attend therapy, set a financial plan that I've stuck to, quit smoking, exercise regularly, found a job I'm actually happy with, and have finally for the first time started to find me. Im far from reaching my dreams, but every day I get closer my life only gets better - it's much more fun playing the main character in life, instead of an npc.

I honestly love these motivational speeches. They actually really motivate me to do my best everyday. Everything they say in these is 100% true and people need to hear it. We need to motivate each other and help each other. Don't do something cause your friends are doing it. Do it because YOU want to do it. @9:40 I related to this content by Jay Shetty so much. I had no plans after year 12. I started my bachelors @ 26. I have experimented with various jobs and now have been unemployed for 4 years. I have not had a real relationship for 14 years. But now I am making the effort to make the changes I need to be myself and not some prescibed life victim.
