I have the leatt dual access, when I'm riding i don't even notice I've got them on. came off a couple of times and landed on my knees and no damage well impressed.

I absolutely love my Leatt duel axis guards. I run them both in moto and on my snowmobile. Saved my knees many times, and the Leatt’s have replaceable buckles if you break one. I’ve had mine for 4 years and changed 2 buckles. Love them!

Love the dual axis, wore them for years, went to braces then went back. My old set is still functional but my new pair broke around one of the hinge points less than 3 rides in.

Leatt dual axis all the way. Saved my knees many times. Wouldn’t wear anything else. Fox has one like it, but is a cheaper copy, and the straps are not as wide and will bug you on the back of your leg.

I wear the FOX knee guards with the built in D30 protection, it’s a hard guard BUT with soft and hand impact protection. I good 👍 guard

I have the alpine stars hard plastic I really like mine bn using them for the past couple of years and I have large calvs not gonna say there the best the are a whole lot better than the kind I bn using over the past several years they are pretty comfortable as long as I wear knee brace socks that come up a good ways over the top of the knee

Dont want to push for the significantly more expencive option, but I started riding last year and I went straight for a Mobius knee-brace. Read a lot on forums and reviews beforehand and many guys were saying they will go for brace after sustaining injuries on their knees even with guards. I figured a few days off work because of knee injury would cost me more than the braces so went for the better but pricier route directly, thereby also saving me the money from "changing up". Braces are of course no full insurance from sustaining injuries but if im in a hospital bed Ill be glad I cannot say it might be because I chose inferior safety equipment to save a few dollars on an in general expencive sport.

Hey, what moto style you and your friends are riding? I am consodering dual sport bike, no dirt bike...considering if expensive brace is my way or cheaper lighter will do the work good as well.
@bingoberra18 Жыл бұрын
@@janissneiders3105 Hi I am a bad amature so you shouldnt take my advice. And I dont really have any close friends riding motorcycles or dirtbikes. But In my mind I would probably not use any knee protection if I was riding a dual sport bike on asphalt and gravel roads. It´s more if you push hard on a cross track or enduro track in the forest where there is a much more increased risk of falling that it seems more appropriate. From just a few times riding, I have fallen many times in low speed where protection probably did not help in any way. And one time at higher speed where I was driving in a rut and got out of it weirdly. At that time I got the bike on top of my inner leg so hard that the boot opened up the tension. At that point I was happy to have good boots and knee protection. But If youre just casually riding gravel roads on a dual sport I would advice to not push your limits.

Are you sure the dual axis is level 2 because it looks like Leatt says the dual axis is CE-1 on their website
@PeakandAbyss Жыл бұрын
Yeah I was wondering about that as well mate. Just bought a pair and says it's only CE certified.
@ridemfast7625 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, everything I read says Level 1.

No leatt 6.0? Got them recently they’re great and already crashed tested them they did great. and the size chart actually makes sense compared to Evs. Also they don’t stick into my boots which is helpful because I’m in between sizes. only downside is my knees get hot when I take them off don’t notice it when riding though still not to used to that aspect switching from naked knees.

does the Troy Lee Designs 6400 sit far in the boot?

So I have the tp199 lite. I got a l/xl they are comfortable but they move a lot and the straps don’t help because they are too long. Maybe I should go down a size?
@hyposez1129 Жыл бұрын
Did you get the smaller size? I want to get the TP 199's also, but there are none of the original left in my stores so only the Lite is available. By the numbers I fit in the size S/M, but I just wanted to know do the guards move around or not?

my biggest complaint of any knee guard I've ever owned is how it fits in my boot. Maybe my calves are larger then most but I always had a problem with the top buckle on my boot.
@davebennett50692 жыл бұрын
i have the leatt's, and i have to re-position the upper buckle on my gaerne's exactly for this reason. the knee guard extends too far down. but that's just me picking a guard / boot combo that don't match perfectly.
@TraviNomotion2 жыл бұрын
You might want to try the 6.0 I’m in between sizes so I have to shove my pant legs into my boots which causes some fitment issues. they don’t interfere with fitment at all and are very comfy.

I gott TP199s now and are awsome. Cant understand why more brands dont use a sleeve inside the pad? I tryed alot off pads and its the only thing that stays in place when squezing the bike or crashing. Everything else i try moves or twist.. Understand the ease if puting it in with no sleve, but i dont care if it takes me 1-2minutes instead if 15sek to out a pad on if they stay in place when i use them? Half the time i dont think the people designing this stuff ever try it..

Does the bionic flex go down into the boot very far? I have the tp199 lite right now but they don’t quite go far enough into the boot to protect the top part of my shin.

I know I'm really late answering, but mine stick down far enough to tuck into motocross boots, maybe 4"-5" below the bottom of my kneecap.
