A shame MX Master 3/3S suffer from scrolling issues, otherwise its a okay mouse albeit the quiet click buttons feeling odd and unsatisfying .. but its a dealbreaker for sure with the scrolling issue as its frustrating AF and 100% broken out-the-box.

Just returned my 3s yesterday. Came "broken out of the box" gave it a try for 20ish days and software was buggy as well. MacOs and windows.

Totally agree. I've been using since for a week on M1 macOS, I have lag issues and scroll wheel is really bad! I am searching the alternatives..

@@berkaybingol6792 Razer ProClick I settled on. Its cheaper, but scrollwheel no issue. There's not a lot of choice in the mice market, must be bad profits or something.. Gamers with too high expectations for the wrong reasons (RGB, lol). Cons: Proprietary Micro-USB charger, Left-click is not as tight as when I got it, but its better than the low-noise flat click you get from MX Master 3S. Return your MX Master 3S, Logitech can't help you, its shipped DOA.

@@habibdeleonbanos8196 PSA: Recently my ProClick mouse has started to "scroll back" whenever I scroll up. If I hit middle-mouse it also sometimes scrolls by itself. I think saw 1 video with a guy explaining a fix with a piece of tape inside the mouse, but I dont remember where.

What I heavily dislike about the MX master series is, 1 the weight and 2 the way the rubber feels around the thumb area after just a couple a months of use. As for using any mouse on mac, I would recommend softwares like Mac Mouse Fix (Open Source) or SteerMouse. They give you all the features you need and are generally just better than Logitech's offering. I have the MX Master 3 and use it with Mac Mouse Fix. Cool video!

I had what was the gaming equivalent to the Mx master back in like 2016 it was great for solid works, order a 3s after years of terrible mice, I greatly look forward to it

@@Rani.Dutta. so far after about a week of use, the sensor seems to go into a low power mode and lower poll rate after it’s been sitting for about 5 minutes. I’m an engineering student so everything is done by switching the dongle in the various computers and relying on the preprogramming that is done on our school laptops. It’s more going to be converting the maps to memory as I pre setup my maps in the MS Suite of programs, solid works and Spotify for my global settings. The gaming version back in the day had 2 Extra buttons by the thumb rest which I thought was great convince wise the gestures will take some getting used to. My DPI is set to my standard 4k for running 2 monitors it does feel like you are on crack when running on a single but that isn’t the point, it’s more about how do I effectively traverse the 2 monitors. The mouse wheel is really interesting it uses electro magnets to click to less click then free scroll. There is no way of adjusting the scroll amount which I do take issue with as I can’t continuously scroll and read through or skim documents websites and emails which I consider a very important aspect of control when it comes to a mouse

Well I have both in my collection. Logitech is better for office since infinite scroll and side can be useful. But when I have to edit a photo for example, it's polling rate just isn't good enough to be precise and you'll feel it if you're used to regular 1000Hz wired mouse (or Pro Click). Also Razer I can use for occasional gaming during break no problems since it has gaming sensor. 4000dpi also is lacking when you have 2x4K display setup, so keep that in mind as well. Razer's materials are slightly worse/cheaper than Logitech.

Loving my MX Master 3; the Magspeed scrollwheel has proved to be very essential for me because I work with 3D models. Would like to give the Pro Click a shot though since you mentioned of its ergonomic advantage over the MX Master (the Pro Click was designed in collaboration with ergonomic specialists - Humanscale - and it shows).

Hi, is this good for MMB soft press? i would like to use it in Blender, i have the logitech M280 and is very hard to press for me. Do i need to apply a lot of force to click the mouse wheel as MMB? THanks a lot for the feedback

Does the pro click have a vertical wheel click ? I prefer to move the mouse up or down than to have a smooth scroll option when i want to quickly go to the top or bottom of a document/website. It is much quicker this way.

all except the very basics stop randomly whenever they want. This includes the pointer speed. With a default pointer speed, left and right click it works always. Any specially assigned keys stop working randomly.

Two things: 1. “You can’t go wrong with either”. Strongly disagree. This is *never* true of any devices with ergonomic considerations as people’s bodies are different. The MX Master quickly induces strong wrist pain (more than the Magic Mouse even) because it’s shapy and weight. Additionally the side scroll wheel and bottom button is completely unusuable for me because of a disability I have in a my left thumb. You always have to try with products like this and see what works. Nothing works for everyone. 2: A tip for the Pro Click (my mouse of choice): on a PC set up the left and right scroll click to keyboard shortcut for changing to left tab and right tab. I find it very comfortable. It’s a bit work to make sure all macOS apps is set up you use the same keyboard shortcuts for this, but once you have it it’s very natural. I use everywhere from Safari to VSCode. Anyway, always interesting to hear people’s perspectives. Thanks for making the video!

Logitech needs to improve either the bluetooth connection or the sensor. I use a mx master 3s to work and a razer naga pro for gaming (or working through bluetooth), and boy, there is a big difference.

There is one thing that every tester overlooks and it needs to be mentioned because neither Apple nor Logitech will take ownership. A true bluetooth mouse should be treated like a mouse in every function. So far the Mx Master 3, and every MX series mice (I have tried them all) will not turn off the trackpad (Settings, Accessibility, Pointer Control -> Ignore built in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present). One would think with Logitech boasting their MX Master 3 For MAC that this would actually work. Logitech had the audacity to tell me to use their unifying receiver, so that it can stick out of my laptop like a dildo because a MacBook does not have USB-A ports and Logitech still sees no reason to produce a usb-c dongle. For that reason they are now voted off my island, they closed the ticket too as resolved.... The Razer is finally coming tomorrow and I am going to hope that it adheres to the communication properly. Corsair and Microsoft Mice all work properly with this setting over bluetooth.

Logitech Master MX 3 (and previous versions) looks nice but the left button breaks in a year, and the wheel gets stuck.

You can use the MX M3 in wired mode. I do it all the time when its charging.

Just to be clear - you can still use the MX Master 3 while it's charging, but while it's charging it's still connected to your machine through a wireless connection. It does not support wired functionality.

go with anything but MX3 like wtf... top product from Logitech barely performs Updates makes one thing work on top the other. Connectivity is incredibly poor in higher wifi environment if you have router by your PC. the only good thing is the comfort in hand. But the workflow is awfully it made life much harder and its heavily over engineered mouse with to many options in which you get lost very easily. Owned it for last 5 months... as well the super speed USB advertise that you can connect multiple Logitech devices to one do not work....

The scroll wheel is a dealbreaker for me. Mice that do not have that feature from the MX Master are immediately disqualified, it's as essential as a right mouse button to me.

Its gimmicky AF. Auto-scroll is better than having scroll issues and delay in stopping the wheel. It should not keep spinning like a playground round-about impossible to stop, and it should work as fast and reliable as ratched-mode. Total fail, Logitech has never been a quality brand, too bad so little companies actually make mice.. Start a proper company, because logitech ain't it! You simply can't scroll fast with this mouse, straight to trash.

@@christofferaasted I totally agree with your point regarding the limitations of precision scrolling. Talking about the ease and comfort I would say it's quite superior than normal mice. The smooth scroll feels way too comfy than the ratchety feel. And if I want to scroll too far up the chat messages I can just flick it... take a sip of my coffee... and it'll just go on and on until the wheel stops is something I just can't part with.
