I really enjoy that they gave a bunch of other characters who never really got their due a second chance, and this is the perfect movie for it since Deadpool was one of those characters. The idea of Ryan Reynolds coming back from the first time he played Deadpool and making the character good was absurd before it happened. So often the focus of cameos is on giving people more of what worked. And sure seeing professor X again is always fun, but there is something special about characters you never expected to see again because of how badly they were treated the first time.

Deadpool & Wolverine was so much fun! My favorite moments are the opening scene of course, the fights between Deadpool & Wolverine, and the cameo reveals! Loved seeing all the old comic book characters come back, even Gambit was great! Deadpool and Wolverine's chemistry is so great and it actually reminds me of Shrek and Donkey where one is the more serious and the other is the annoying sidekick. This Is the blueprint of how to make a multiverse film.

They pulled quite the bait-and-switch there, starting out with "Fu​ck you, Fox! We get to play in _Disney's_ ball pit, now!", but then the whole movie turns out to be a stealth love letter and fond farewell for the Fox movies and their characters. In retrospect, few of the Fox movies hold up too well, or were ever any good to begin with - but they were the best they _could_ have been, at the time, and they paved the way for what we have now. The Fox movies walked (and admittedly fell flat on their nose occasionally), so that Marvel could soar. The concept of "anchor beings" is such a great metaphor for those times when a movie or TV series fizzles out and dies, all because that _one_ key actor left, or they killed off that _one_ character that everybody came to watch. Fox's Mutant-verse died with Logan, because his death left them stuck in place. It was so tragic and epic and poignant that they couldn't possibly reverse it, without the fans hunting them down - but they also couldn't move forwards without him, because, like it or not, nobody would have turned up to watch, if they knew ahead of time that _he_ wasn't going to show up, not even as a cameo. Sure, that's tremendously unfair to all the other actors and creatives working on those movies, but it's still _true!_ Thank you for sharing your reaction with us!

Nice! Love the cameos in the movie! Blade made a reference not liking Deadpool as Wesley Snipes and Ryan Reynolds hated each other on the set of BLADE: Trinity. When Elektra reveals that Daredevil died in her universe, Deadpool apologizes to her but Elektra says it's fine, indicating Jennifer Garner's divorce from her husband Ben Affleck after a 13 year marriage. Deadpool even references Gambit not having his own movie, which is true as the Channing Tatum film was cancelled due to creative difficulties and the Fox- Disney Merger.

This was the first R-Rated movie I've seen in theaters, I have seen the first two Deadpool films on Disney+ and on DVD, and I thought this movie was f'ing awesome! And for your reaction to Johnny Storm was pretty close to when I first saw Chris Evans, I was like "Is he Cap or is he Johnny? Cap or Johnny? I think he's Johnny!" And when he said "Flame On!" I was like "IT'S JOHNNY!!!" One flaw I have with this move, just as a little nitpick, I wish they didn't have The Greatest Show on for like *ONE SECOND!!!* At least give it four more seconds, geez! But Elektra, as soon as I saw her, I was like "Elektra! I remember that!" Yeah, I remember hearing that she would be in the movie, but Blade?!? I was like "WHAT?!? BLADE?!?" And I was just sitting there, like "Who's next? Someone is coming out, I just feel it!" And then Gambit?!? I had finsihed watching the X-Men 90s cartoon, alongside X-Men '97 for the first time, which if you haven't seen them already, Cody, I'd recommend it, but the real surprise for me was that Channing Tatum was finally playing Gambit!!! I was like "Get out!" And don't get me started on the Wolverine montage, which had comic accurate short Wolverine, brown and tan Wolverine, who was about to fight THE HULK?!? And then Henry Cavill?!? Overall, I had a fun time with this movie. And here's hoping we see both Deadpool and Wolverine to come back! Maybe in Secret Wars? Hmm? Alongside Tobey and Andrew? Marvel, I know you know that's what we want! And also fighting RDJ as Doctor Doom.

Deadpool didn't say that the MCU was hit or miss, he said it was miss after miss after miss. I don't think this movie was about Hugh/Wolverine coming to the MCU or giving him another Wolverine movie. In the beginning scene, Deadpool said he was the only one they (Disney/Marvel) were interested in. And later on, he was shown that he's with the Avengers. And the timeline person basically told him he had a place in the MCU. She was not looking at Wolverine when she said that, she was looking at Deadpool. Disney really wants Ryan in the upcoming two Avengers/Dr Doom movies, and that's their focus for the next few years, NOT a Deadpool movie where Ryan would have almost complete control and of course have Hugh/Wolverine back. I've heard that Ryan has not signed a contract yet to be in the Avengers movies, which has execs pulling their hair out. If I had to guess, I'd say that Ryan is concerned about Deadpool being destroyed by Disney (I mean, it's what they do to OG fan faves).
