Great tips Alice, another good tip is to get Parallel compression, Parallel Distortion on the vocals and EQ just the Mid so it pops through, you can also add redux overdrive ect, even some clipping! on the parallel channels, this is great because it allows the clean signal to pop through, while keeping that dirty distorted sound nicely blended to give the Vocals further aggression.

what did DJing teach you about producing and vice versa? when arranging out something new, does the club mix come first or the single mix?
@Alice-Efe
@Alice-Efe 5 ай бұрын
It made me a more experienced producer when it comes to what works on dance floor but it didn’t change too much what and how I produce. Maybe I have a better energy control with my tracks but I still go for the “vibe” and the “feel”. One of the best comments I got after a festival gig was that one guy sprang to me and told me it was the most “felt” set he had whole festival. And it made me happy because that is exactly what I like to go for. So it thought me to make tracks that people can dance their heart out ♥️

On tip #1 use M/S procesing, sidechain mostly mid, that way you dont kill the sides of the sidechained channel. Same thing with vocals, instead of a lead

Hi Alice. Thanks for this awesome video. I'm not an Ableton Live user, so I can't relate to envelope follower and utility. Can you think of other DAW users, what they can use instead of the Ableton plug-ins, when giving Tipps like these? Would ve very helpful.
@Alice-Efe

Is there a difference between maximizer and a limiter?
@Alice-Efe
@Alice-Efe 5 ай бұрын
Nowadays they are used interchangiable but traditional limiter was only a tool that trims the peaks for certain threshold. Maximizer had more options including extra saturation/distortion settings. So you could not only clip the peaks but also do it with extra saturation and clipping settings and target specific bands.
