High Spirits flutes are pretty impressive....if you want the deeper sound, but don't like the ergonomics of the long bass flutes, High spirts makes a "Spirit Bass" flute that is much shorter than usual and is super comfortable to play without the stretch of long bass flutes. The low notes of a bass flute are very hypnotic/meditative.
I want the low D flute .. I fell in love with it sound

Yes...I'm a blues harmonica player and love the grittiness....but in the forest, it just seems out of place. The flute is a far better fit...though perhaps less versatile. Overlall...the animals don't want us there no matter what we play....we've burned bridges with them for too long.

Hi Gina - About 1 year ago i happened upon your youtube videos on the native american flute. well, today (1 year later) i finally purchased my first native american flute (The Spirit Flute from High Spirit Flutes in the key of G). Your guidance helped me select the correct flute - i like a lower tone and have larger hands - and it didn't break the bank. Thank you very much for the discount code. I look forward to checking out your new video series. Thank you - Michael

I have very small hands and bad wrists so even the midrange flutes are a stretch. I solved a lot of the discomfort by using a 2 foot long plastic hose inserted into the blow hole. (The same tube they have at the store so you can try their flutes without putting your mouth on them.) This allows me to hold the flute down and away from my body where my hands are comfortable. Almost like fingering a bagpipe. 😁 plus the flute doesn't plug up with condensation from my breath if I didn't warm it to body temperature before I started playing. So win, win!

Hi Im a Saxophone player .But im really looking to buy a Native American flute. I want a warm Rich sound . But also a kind of Haunting sound too. What would you recommend. I have normal to large hands for a guy, if that helps.
@GinaLuciani11 ай бұрын
Given that you already are more experienced and also have larger hands, I think you’d be ok going with one of the lower flutes! Given you want a haunting sound, probably wouldn’t go with the flutes in the higher range. Also, for a warm/rich sound, my favs are the signature flutes if they are in your price range! They have a gorgeous sound!
