I usually would say that the STN display is much better than the standard negative display. However this one also is very readable. I have only seen the negative displays in the squares.

Yes, STN makes a difference in terms of being Crisp and better viewing angle on a negative display watch.

@@TickTockTreasures I have the nagative display Rangeman also, GW 9400-3. It's a great watch with all necessary survival features but in terms of nagative display, GD 350 the vibeman beats the Rangeman.

@@TickTockTreasures if it's just for the collection then no issues but the positive display Rangeman 9400 is more legible than the military green "extraction" one. But it's looking more tactical. Personally I like the JDM black & yellow version, it's superb.

Negative display looks cool but my eyes aren't great so I'm a positive display only guy. The best negative display I had was pro on my full metal square and I still needed the backlight often.

Negative display is something that not everyone can get used to. Most models aren't practical with their negative displays but GD-350 has the best I have seen :)

Tried both displays, GD350 in negative display is more legible than positive display, especially turning on the backlight at pitch black.

I own several negative display G-Shocks and I must admit they are pretty poor when it comes to legibility. I believe Casio should consider MIP displays like the one on the GBD-200 for all models, especially the 5610.

I wouldn't know about the ones I don't own but amongst the ones I do own GD-350 has the best one for a standard LCD negative display and GMW-B5000 is crisp too with its STN LCD. These have the best viewing angles and they beat even the positive displays too for it

How on earth a company like Casio, think of making watches with negative displays. I have using Casio digital watch for last 30 years. Negative displays look so weird.

I am sorry to hear that. I don't know why Casio doesn't work on improving the negative display on their top line of G-shocks. I wish all the negative displays were like the one on GD-350

After my purchase of GBD 800, I too joined the ‘negative display hate brigade’.. It looks cool, but what’s the point if we have to turn on the back light if we have to read the time under medium & low light conditions ?

I have seen videos of GBD-800 but it's negative display is nowhere close to that of GD-350.

Gbd 200 is the best negative display and you can turn off the smart features and voila it's an best negative display watch
