New Urbanism!! I love it! I just wish the yards were bigger. So many choices but this video makes the process so much easier! Great info! Definitely a must watch for anyone relocating to Iowa

Yeah, the yards for many of the Peninsula homes are very tiny...really only space for a grill and a few pots of flowers....or a very small dog.

I like the sound and look of the Peninsula area. Great to have the condition of a new home with the look/character of an old home:)

I agree! I’d love to see more of this type of development but with larger yard spaces.

It is a pretty neat place. There is a wine cafe there that serves crab tacos with fried wonton style "taco shells" that are out of this world.

I love that new urbanism look. My neighborhood in AZ is built on that concept.

Thank you for the video, were planning on moving from southern California in December, would you be able to guide us what neighborhood would be good for rent? We're have 3 children.
@EmilyFarber3 жыл бұрын
Hi there! Are your children school aged? If it were me making a big move as a fmaily, I would probably try to narrow down my focus based upon budget, how close I wanted to be to work, and then pick several schools I identify as my preferred schools for my children. School attendance is based upon address here and voluntary enrollment is pretty difficult to get granted by the school district. You can look up school zone by address here: app.guidek12.com/iowacity/school_search/2019/ I you'd like to drop me an email I can send you an email with some property management companies to get you started in your search for a rental. My email is: Emily@RightMoveIowa.com

iF i HAVE a job offer from an entreprise in Iowa and i decide to move what is the first thing that I should be aware of moving to Iowa
@EmilyFarber4 жыл бұрын
KOZETEK Hmmm...I would say securing housing. Home and rental prices vary greatly depending upon location, so making sure that you have a realistic picture of what that portion of your monthly budget is would be highly important. Sometime people have the impression that all housing in Iowa is delightful inexpensive, but that is not always the case...of course one’s opinion of home prices may vary depending on where he or she is coming from.

Other things to be aware of: Hawkeye football is a big deal here...do you like football? If you’re moving to the Iowa City area, specifically, some areas have a much higher student rental load than others, so that influence your decision on where to live. If you’re coming here from a more temperate climate, you may need to do some winter gear shopping. Parking downtown can be hard, so if your job takes you downtown or on campus, you may want to consider finding a home near a bus line in order to make public transit easier. What other questions can I answer for you? 😊

Thank you for reply.the opportunity is at Mary Greeley Medical Center , is there any place where I go online to check for rent house?
@EmilyFarber4 жыл бұрын
@@cdojoacademy Mary Greeley Medical Center is in Ames, Iowa, which is a bit over two hours from where I live, so I am not an expert on that community, but if I was looking for more information on rentals there, I would start with the Ames Craigslist and check out prices. You could also google property management firms in Ames and look at their websites to see what they have available in terms of rental houses.
