Thank you so much for stopping by and trying our food Steve! You’re such a delightful person to meet and serve. Your coverage of my restaurant put me in tears! It’s been so hard getting this place launched during this time. Seeing it covered so well by you gave me the extra push I need to keep going and to keep improving this place to become the great restaurant I want it to be. - thank you so much for being the wonderful you. You do amazing work and I wish your channel continues to thrive! Cheers - sally

As i said a zillion times, I don't because of inflation changes. Its better to look on restaurant website. My prices would be outdated within 6 months, and people will complain i posted something inaccurate. That's why other major food vloggers don't do it.

Meh. Went there a couple days ago. They are short on staff. Waited 1 hour and still no food. Had to walk out. Would’ve stay if they gave us a heads up that the wait would be long.

@lamwoonwai3 жыл бұрын
The best dim sum is in SF and a couple of the chefs of the famous Koi Palace spun off a high end fusion place called Palatte. Their cocktails are amazing. I saw a chef from Hong Kong talk about how important it is to modern Chinese food. So there you have it.

I actually just tried this spot the other night and was a bit underwhelmed. Owner was very nice and accommodating, restaurant ambiance was relaxed and cozy. Great pot of tea but the food was just lacking depth of flavor. Xio long bao didn't have soup & skin was too thick, char shu bao had no BBQ flavor, vegetable dishes are overpowered with garlic, and overall the dishes were just lacking depth of flavor for the elevated prices you are paying. Its great to have a dim sum spot on the westside but I would still make the trip out to SGV for something that will smack with robust, nostalgic flavor.

@@RockstarEater Hey man more power to you for eating all these places. If you could keep saying Best that you are going to start off coming off as a schill for all the places you eat at and lose authenticity and credibility. I have yet to hear you say a restaurant was bad. I went to this place and I want Sally to succeed but this is just ordinary dim sum. It's not at that level it needs to be but I give her credit for trying.
@lxu17113 жыл бұрын
Authentic? Haha… To start with, dim sum is Cantonese. You need a Cantonese chef if you want to call it authentic. I don’t think the cook was even Chinese, let alone Cantonese. Also, look at the clientele. How many were Chinese? None! If she could sell those unauthentic strange looking dim sum to the none Chinese customers, all the power to her. But please don’t call it authentic. I just happened to see this video and wanted to comment. You can do better than calling this authentic or traditional dim sum. By the way, your drink was a Chinese cough medicine. “Can I take your drink order?” “Yes, I would like the Chinese cough medicine please. “ LOL.
@ironteapotdimsumbar29313 жыл бұрын
Yes, my drink is an herbal drink syrup that my family use as cough syrup, just like how my HK canto family uses hot coke & ginger as a cough medicine. But my Cantonese Teo family and HK ppl love drinking this for any reason especially after we drink all night for no reason My chef is Cantonese. And his whole team is Cantonese. My cooks are of all colors. And most of the authentic places will have cooks of all colors in their kitchen. Laboratory uses the same syrup to make a cool boba drink as well.
@Weeweesilly2 жыл бұрын
The chef is Cantonese. The cooks are not, like every authentic restaurant in the US
