Thanks for featuring Dragon's Lair! I'm glad you caught the details like the use of color and movement in the model as well as noticing its smaller part count. 😄

Great to hear that you like my "Medieval Toll Bridge" that much! I really tried to keep the piece count as low as possible so it would be affordable. Thank you to everyone who voted for it and good luck to everyone who submitted a model!

now this is what I was looking for! some of these smaller sets look great, i like the wolf's den - simple but nice smaller castle style build, also the dark ritual is brilliant - love the details. The toll bridge is also very cool

Ragged crow Inn jumps out at me for the reasons you stated. Love the texture and looks so different than everything else.

Your channel is the first that I've ever subscribed to and I've been on YT for ALONG time. You just put everything together in a very informative way. I really like the Crow's Inn and feel that it's a perfect example of quality over quantity. It's a small build (in size) but capture incredible details. We need more builds like this. Thanks again for the great upload

I can't remember any LEGO (or competitor) set that would even come close to The Ragged Crow Inn. It's so stunning and breathtaking! For me, that's perfection right there (except for the roundplateish firm tree at the back of the building maybe).

I'm a much bigger fan of the Castle-adjacent builds such as the Blacksmith's Breeze, Dragon's Sanctuary or the Tavern Under the Snow, than I am of the big huge castle MOCs that have been on offer recently like the Forest Stronghold. I already own the Lion Knight's Castle, so adding MORE big castles around it almost feels redundant, and like it will rob my Lion Knight's Castle of it's special place in my collection. Castle ADJACENT builds, that are medieval but not another big fortress, really offer the opportunity to build up a medieval/fantasy world. My hope is for more sets like the Medieval Town Square, I want a whole Medieval world! Fingers Crossed for some of these sets as finalists. :)

You should check out my "Wizard's Tower" submission if you are interested in a "castle-adjacent" build! And it's less than 2,500 pieces so hopefully it won't break the bank!

One of the medieval sets you didn't have highlighted but that I find really solid is the cozy little cottage -just a nice, non-faction home for two with a few animals included in for less than 600 pieces. I hope it has a shot at the 'budget' slot as it's well made and would be really nice to see as a set.
@carmeljordan8034Ай бұрын
Great video as usual! I don’t collect castles or medieval but love looking at them and love your enthusiasm for them. I think the tavern is great because it could be put into amusement parks or different settings as a theme establishment. I was wondering if you can do a vid on the food/ shopping set entries?
@Stud-LordАй бұрын
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. That’s a good thought about another setup you could display it with, nice thinking. And yeah I’ll be covering pretty much all of them in videos this week 👍

15:40 I personally REALLY wanted a city on a bridge because it reminded me so much of Toussaint from the Witcher 3 blood and wine dlc, and I know you're also a witcher fan
@octav1600Ай бұрын
Ruffian Stronghold is great (seems like the 3in1 castle) - love it , and I love the size. Wolf's Den - is a strong mall one as well (I would have rather had it without the griffin to keep piece count low - or at least they should have used a harry potter hyppogriph ) - more sets should take an example here how to hide away the "open towers" lovely build. Tavern under the show looks great, but where are all the pieces going to? It's slightly fewer pieces than the Series 4 Lion Knights Harbor? Medieval river crossing is great (a lot of pieces, but it's one I would clearly buy if they choose it - and it has variety in minifigs). Medieval city bridge is lovely, but the bridge part seems too small for the large buildings (I do like it though) Ragged Crow in is nice , love the colors, just right for a den of thieves - too many pieces though (wonder if one could make something like this, but smaller ) Medieval Toll Briodge is the best one from my POC (and not even 3K pieces) Love this set. It's a bit messy, but that goes for it because its wolfpack and it seems like an upgraded wolfpack tower. Seeing these submissions, I really hope LEGO get the hint and will release a remake of the Wolfpack tower (this time preferably not a GWP - small $50 Set would do nicely I think).

Dragons Lair (instant buy) looks good and useful for D&D. Also Dark Ritual fits too! Other that catch my eye are medieval river crossing and Ragged Crow Inn (instant buy!). But why so many sets with lion knights? Where are the others knights themes (Dragons)?
@cloudfox2471Ай бұрын
Agreed, I’d like all of those too!
@Stud-LordАй бұрын

The builders can only use what's available right now on studio and the only factions lego has available right now are the Black Falcons, Lion knights, and the Wolpack. There are some generic torso's you could use for knights from the vikings sets but that's basically what you have at your disposal.

With the dragons lair I would like Lego to Make something like that but the dragon is just too big it is comical to me. If they made a modern modest medieval dragon mold and made a set like this it would be one perfect. But like this is just a bunch of landscape with some minis so not really worth it. So Please lego stop the BL for classic castle and take the winning submissions and upgrade them to better mass produced sets.

no excuses for not having a carriage set out yet either.

Series 6 was kind of weak. I don't want another castle for the sake of castle. Be creative and I'll buy. Another series of grey blocks isn't going to do it for me, I'd rather just buy the minifigures from bricks and pieces.
