Kev, you have to seal the hull, you can either use tape specially sold for the job or use wire insulation tape, either way it stops water getting in and sinking.

Traxxas boats are rubbish from factory I had the spartan when they came out the motor jacket leaks so I a motor jacket which didn't leak then I got 2 Proboats much better and faster better quality hulls than any Traxxas boats iam not slagging Traxxas I've had several of there cars and they are a blast

Awesome vid Kev, it's all about how much fun you have with the hobby 😁. I have the WL915 shown in the video and absolutely love it. The first time it dived under water and didn't come up for a few seconds I got a bit worried, but then it shot out about 20 feet away like in this video and I burst out laughing too. Now every time I take it out I try and 'submarine' it as it's loads of fun. 👍

r/c boats are fun but the draw back IS you do need a rescue boat....or a rescue duck......if they die out on the pond you have to get them somehow. (btw, the rescue duck has some grippers on the front to grab your boat and bring it home lol)

Hey Kev I’m glad you had a good time running the model boats! Get yourself a Zebco reel and put a racquetball on the end of it with a swivel that works good for a retrieving deadboats. I also use a cajun commander airboat that I attach a fishing reel with about 20 feet of floating line then 200’ of 10lb test that I send out for the dead boats that are way too far away. To retrieve with the ball and reel. Then I drive it around the dead boat and then I reel in both the dead boat and airboat in at together. it works great very seldom do I need to use a rowboat. Years ago I was getting treated badly at a model boat race. And I got so mad that I threw my transmitter in the lake. I should’ve just packed up and went home. That was dumb. Have fun guys!!
