I'm staying at the Cosmo currently, and they have switched over to MGM Rewards. It is terrible. Half the machines aren't working. The player's cards right now don't allow freeplay to be used. Also, the room service took 2.5 hours and was cold. And, they don't even bring the food on a cart as they used to... they just leave a bag at your door. YOU HAVE TO PAY AN EXTRA $10 FOR THE CART! Just a horrible experience, and I've been coming here for years

My friend and I spent a night at Virgin River in Mesquite in 2023 and the check in line was long considering it was Sunday. Their registration desk is probably similar in size to the Edgewater in Laughlin and I think they had as many check in agents as possible. Line stretched toward the table games. They have one kiosk and it had a line, too. We used the kiosk for a shorter wait. Normally Sundays are busy check out days, but this was somewhere after 5. We were there again in March and the wait to check in was really short so not sure if it was just a fluke

My friends and I have stayed at Caesars Palace many times, and we have all waited in the check-in line between ONE TO THREE HOURS during EVERY SINGLE VISIT!! This is due to Caesars guest management program being one of the slowest which requires a lengthy process (4 to 10 minutes) for each guest before they can be checked in. The check-in area is also ALWAYS greatly understaffed regardless of time of day. To make matters worse, their automated machines are EXTREMELY unreliable and user-unfriendly, often failing to do the simplest things such as finding a reservation, clearly explaining the bill, or even providing functioning room keys upon check in!! Check out tends to take ANOTHER 20 minutes to 1.5 hour...

We have a motto here during barrel season- you can't get there from here. 😂 I know that tipping is a very personal thing but I feel like if you have thousands$$ to drop you can afford to throw them a tip. Win lose or draw. As far as that caesars line - it's hard to believe that that many people don't use mobile check-in. I usually stay at NYNY and I've never had more than 5 people ahead of me. Long check in lines can also be blamed on the customers. I once waited for 40 mins at TI. There were 10 staff working and I timed people checking in. Many guests took 10, 15, even 20 minutes to get checked in because they had a bunch of demands and questions. When I check in I have my id and credit card ready to hand to the employee. They confirm the reservation and in less than 2 minutes I have my key. There is no reason anyone should take more than 5 minutes to check but so many people are stupid.

Thanks for another great video, always look forward to these! Regarding your question about why is BetMGM so much lower than Fanduel/Draft Kings - I’m an avid sports better, so from experience of using the 3 books myself, I can tell you BetMGM is much more limited in what they allow you to parlay; whereas FD/DK have a lot more options and therefore I’ll use them more for parlays, and BetMGM for straight bets typically; I have to imagine this factors into the different percentages.

Draftkings and Fanduel - one reason why they drive many more parlays than the other sportsbooks mentioned is that they have heavy promotions everyday on mostly 3-4+ leg parlays and same game parlays. They use 'profit boosts' that appear to make the bet much more attractive and they even catch me at times. Draftkings and Fanduel lead the industry in promotions and while they have single game and single bet promotions, they are super heavy weighted on parlays

I know our crew is “aging out,” but we all also have far greater disposable income than we had in the ‘90’s, and its not just old age, the cost is making us a little salty and looking for alternatives. As long as revenue continues to increase and occupancy remains high, I don’t see things changing, but EVERYONE locally you talk to thinks there has to be a breaking point. Doesn’t seem close though….

I won $30K once on a BlackJack side bet (Lucky Ladies w/ a matching Dealer Blackjack suit), in a case where the dealers kept their own tips. I gave the Dealer a 3.3% tip ($1,000) and tipped the Bar/Servers half that again ($500, there were only 3 girls serving drinks). This was at a "Card Room" type Casino in Washington St (table games only, no slots), which amounted to a Restaurant, a Bar and about 20 tables w/ 5 or 6 different betting games. Tournament poker players can and will take huge swings with their bankrolls due to statistical variance. The idea that you should be tipping the dealer 100K of a 1,000,000 win is just nuts. I am pretty generous as a tipper at poker (basically the only thing I do at a casino) but I think 5K is more than plenty. If a person is a pure recreational player and does not count on poker for their living then maybe they can afford to be more generous, but pros have bills to pay and thinking you won't be spending a large chunk of that cash on life expenses and future buy-in's is how you go broke in poker. Even playing perfectly a poker player might not cash high again for a year or more, and meanwhile he is shelling out that 1,000,000 daily.

Soo Kim (chairman) will know the financials of Bally's and figured he might as well take advantage of Bally's being over extended.

The Paris Versailles Tower balcony view is certainly among the better hotel room views on the Strip, but it still doesn't beat the Cosmopolitan balcony view facing the Bellagio Fountains in my opinion. You're even closer to the fountains, you also are closer to the heart of CityCenter with all those striking modern towers..........you just feel like you're cocooned in neon and glamour there. 🥰 Also: even though this is a lounge and not the hotel room itself: the Skybar view at Waldorf-Astoria is unparalleled. You're only at about the midway point between ground level and the top of the Waldorf-Astoria there, but I actually like that view more than a rooftop lounge view because you feel like you're gazing right into the electric heart of the Strip like a hawk rather than just staring down upon the city. 🙂
