In this video I am going to review the full color line of my new favorite waterproof flooring option, with my thoughts on each of these 16 new color options. The line is BelleLuxe waterproof wood from Karastan, the newest offering from the RevWood laminate technology.
If you want to know more about the specifics of what makes this product so advanced, you can watch part 1 of my favorite waterproof flooring for 2022 series.
Introduction to RevWood Premier:
• The Best Waterproof La...
The RevWood Signature technology takes the look and feel of wood to a whole new level.
To see room scenes online for each of these products you can visit www.karastan.com
Please note, I am not being compensated in anyway by Karastan, Mohawk, or any other manufacturer in association with this video. As a flooring retailer, I carry several brands and am strictly sharing my honest opinions on this line.
Please feel free to ask any questions in the comments and I will try to answer as many as I can. I would also love your feedback on how these full line reviews help, so I can make the most helpful videos possible in the future.

Very informative video Robert. Thank you. My wife and I are in the process of picking new flooring. We brought home samples of the Karastan Belleluxe and Mohawk Revwood Premier. One observation / question. The Karastan has a totally matte finish and as you say in the video, a very realistic and pronounced, rougher texture. We noticed after walking on the samples all day, that the rougher surface of the Karastan samples attracted more visible dust and dirt from our shoes than the slightly glossier Revwood product. In one case, my son's dusty shoes from a camping trip left footprints across the sample. I also noticed a few scuffs from black soled flip flops. A damp rag removed the dirt, but the black scuffs were hard to get out. Robert, any feedback on this aspect of the Karastan product from customers or your own experience? Is the Revwood easier to clean? Also, are there any competing brands/products that you would advise we take a look at? Thanks again for the video.

Hi Robert - watched this video on June 14th of 24 after learning about your KZbin channel from your brother Chris! He is currently working with us to install Belhancourt, Vintage Tea Oak flooring in our new home in Queen Creek, AZ. We met you in the showroom last week, while working with your brother on selecting quartz and backsplash options for our kitchen remodel. Loved your video and I’m so happy to learn you agree with our flooring choice as one of your favorites!! 🎉I’ve heard you’ve actually been out to our house to see the floor being professionally installed by Justin and Chad. Would love to learn more about best ways to take care of my new waterproof laminate flooring and what not to do to void the warranty? Thought your video was very informative and helpful and made me feel even better about the choice of flooring we selected. Thanks!

Please create the video to show the waterproof LVP compared to waterproof laminate. It would be very helpful in deciding waterproof LVP versus waterproof laminate.

Glad I saw this. I was a big fan of your video last year. You saw the Premier/Signature line before I did in my store but once I got my hands on it it became one of my top sellers. Morena Bluffs is an amazing floor and looks incredible. I was glad you responded to that comment as well, and we got a little back and forth. Belleluxe fits into that current "meta" for style really well an the boards look amazing. I recently moved across the state in WA from the east to the West (north of Seattle) and man, it feels like I am fighting a one man war against the community here on LVP versus Laminate. I fought the same war four years ago in my last store, and in the end I was winning. I will here too, especially with the absolute mess the LVP market is in right now.. There is absolutely nothing a Vinyl does in a home that something like Belleluxe won't do either... and that laminate will probably preform better in the rooms where it actually counts due to wear and use. Awesome video.

I completely agree, we were always partial to laminate here though lvt was a much bigger market for a while. At the last couple of trade shows, Ive seen the manufacturers all rushing to get into laminate and I think that will continue to be the trend.

What about wood like tiles?

When installed, what is Belleluxe long plank like under foot: does it have the authentic dead step sound as one finds with real wood T&G or is it the click-step sound that screams FAKE!? I suspect the worst of the click-step is from floating installations, that said what is necessary to have the ambient sensory experience nearly identical to that of real wood? Padding? Recommendation. Glue down? Recommendation? Non-spongy resilience? Recommendation. Underlayment considerations in humid vs dry Four Season climates? Other thoughts, that yield the most "Bang for the Buck" in both wear durability and long term performance with the gratification/satisfaction one may experience of a true wood floor feeling under foot. Nice video. Thanks.

Hello Robert, Thank you for the review. Great! Please can you tell me if this product could be considered as wood on a house listing?
@RemodelWithRobert
@RemodelWithRobert Жыл бұрын
I can tell you that I have seen many homes that were listed as having wood floors, while actually having laminate flooring installed. This product is very dicey in that regard as most of the marketing for the product refers to it as wood, though it is in fact a laminate. As for myself, I would not market it as an actual wood floor, though I know many realtors would put it on the listing as such.

I’m so torn between Linen Wash Oak and Vintage Tea Oak from the Belhancourt . Can you please share if the vintage tea oak is orangish and-or Linen Wash whiteish? Does the Karastan Belleluxe Andilet Buff Cream Oak have an attached underlayment?
@RemodelWithRobert
@RemodelWithRobert Жыл бұрын
No, none of the products shown here have an attached underlayment, so a 1mm cushion for sound and moisture protection is recommended. I don't personally make a big deal of attached backings since you still need a separate underlayment to protect from moisture.

@eb1888.
@eb1888. Жыл бұрын
This isn't wood. It's plastic laminate. AC4 means 4000 runs to get through the surface. No warranty for high heels or sand grains. LVP will have a solid piece of clear 12-40mil sheet vinyl plus the urethane topcoat with ceramic or aluminum oxide for the wear layer. Engineered wood has 0.6, 4 or 6mm of hardwood under the urethane topcoat. 40mil equals 1mm.
@RemodelWithRobert
@RemodelWithRobert Жыл бұрын
Laminate is neither wood nor is it plastic, it is wood fibers and resin in the core with some plastic materials in its top layers. The AC ratings are determined from a series of different tests. There are warranties on many laminates that do not exclude high heels or grit like sand. You are pretty close on the LVP and wood but there are a much wider range of constructions and finishes than what can be listed in a short response. Thanks for watching!

@@RemodelWithRobert Karastan BelleLuxe specifically excludes damage from high heels and sand from warranty coverage in the written warranty language.
@RemodelWithRobert
@RemodelWithRobert Жыл бұрын
It is important to note that the Belleluxe name covers two collections, and the warranties differ. The Natural Wood warranty carries a different set of exclusions from the Laminate based products. Unfortunately, the warranties can get confusing when reading online, and there are several outdated warranties from previous years that are still available online, so getting the correct and most up to date warranty brochure from the manufacturer is important. However, any floor can be damaged by spiked heels, cleats, etc, and if high heels have worn through, they will definitely damage real wood but should also be avoided on LVP and laminate from every brand. I hope that is helpful, and thanks for watching!

I had XRP VPL from cabinets to go installed a year ago. My home flooded and the boards were underwater for 3 days. Once we got everything vacuumed up. It took water mitigating 3 months to come out. They all said they couldn’t believe these floors were underwater for 3 days besides the fact there is video footage. I wanted to reorder the same product and color ASAP. I need it installed by end of November beginning of December. Their peices are unavailably high! And cost of project ran over. I really liked some of ur product and colors here. Except I just read that the underlayment material wasn’t included in any of these products? Since VPL is technically a floating floor we were able to save a lot of the boards which they said wouldn’t have happened if the material wasn’t attached to the board. Water would have been floating under the underlayment and then again over it. In between vpl Are ANY OF THESE PRODUCTS JUST SHOWN COME UP THE MOLD PROOF AND WATER PROOF UNDERLAYMENT MATERIAL ATTACHED? And how do I find pricing. I was not able to see the names of any of these products in the video? I will check again. Thank you for your videos and your help.
