I’ve had I lot bad experience in the past with the laminate flooring in the past I don’t know for sure if the LVT are any different I install vinyl floor flooring in my kids room and no issues at all my opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️

Great job and I am doing something similar but I want to add a 6x6 solar light on the flat area behind the box. That area is bigger than a 6x6 because I made my post wider. I just think a wider post looks better with a wider mailbox. Anyways I am concerned with there being a lot of flat area on top around where the solar light will set, and concerned about water being able to stand on that area causing it to weather faster. I know the wood will be sealed with outdoor Kilz and then painted over that with an oil based black satin outdoor paint but just feel like it may rot faster if water sits on it alot. What are your thoughts on this please? How is the top of yours holding up so far? Thanks and again.....great job. Looks really nice.

Can I apply additional Poly to the engineered pre-finished flooring after installation? I like a VERY durable floor finish that holds up to traffic and some outdoor elements such as snow and ice melting salt that may come in on the feet during winter.

The first thing I want to say is this was a life savor for me. I didn't even know the metal flange cover. Worked like a charm for me. So thank you for the video! Second, I have to agree with a few comments here: wear gloves and plug the hole! Last thing you want is that nasty wax going down the pipe. I don't know about the wax-less seals. I've read they break down sooner than the wax.

Every flooring company in this town suggests to LVP over laminate, I visited four of them and none of them suggested me to use laminate 🤷‍♀️

As far as installation cost, I have found that hard laminate flooring such as Pergo Wet Protect wears out saw blades about 3 times as faster compared to vinyl flooring. This can add an extra $200 in materials for a project depending on its size. Diablo makes blades specifically for laminate and vinyl flooring and still, I have found the laminate blade starts "smoking" in 1/3 the time.

Hi Robert, I have received quotes from a couple of places on the same Masland carpet. One of which is a Floors to Go Private Label and as such is a bit less expensive. Is this a path you would recommend or is there potential for issues arising from going with the private label version?
