Hi, I disagree that you should choose 'Prefer maximum performance' for Power management mode on desktop. I tried it with RTX 4070S and power consumption was very high when the card was idle. It always worked on a high frequency. It makes no sense, because if you use normal mode it will boost to the high frequency when needed (e.g. running 3D app) anyway.

I wish if KZbin would add the option to separate microphone audio recording from game audio recording on the playback settings. You may have covered this in the video haven't fully watched it but on the newest app version currently the rtx hdr feature is very bugged. here is a list of the issues 1: Setting peak brightness for RTX Video HDR completely breaks it to the point that neither Firefox or Chrome work with it and it will always be "inactive" and the only way to see "active" again is a full driver wipe with DDU. 2: Cannot set peak brightness for RTX HDR within the nvidia app as there is no slider. Could have sworn that it had the option to change it in the app. 3: This one ties into issue number 2 the nvidia overlay almost never lets me change the filter settings for RTX HDR in game I have only seen the sliders working once and I cant remember what game it was and I have tried this with many games. 4: Setting RTX HDR on a per program basis just doesn't work it will show "on" and then randomly switch back to "off" or say using the global setting "on"/ "off" and is very inconsistent when it comes to setting the setting you want for it. BTW love your vids keep up the great content.

What nonsense. Nvidia's frame limitation works at the RTSS level. This is one of the best frame limiters in the gaming industry, I've been using it since the first versions. At the moment there is version 3, and it just perfectly limits FPS, even with DLSS FG.

If you're using lossless scaling, the max frame rate limiter on global settings limits the generated frames not the in-game fps

@@AncientGameplays Might be just an issue specific to my system then cuz that's how I've been using it for the past 6 months, Setting Nvidia App's Max Frame Rate Limit to 170 fps on my 180hz display and using lossless scaling to hit that limit instead of limiting the base frames. I just tested limiting the fps to 60 and using lossless scaling 4x frame gen and it was just a mess of artifacts

I have a problem with NVIDIA Instant Replay in NVIDIA App, so when I turn it on my performance decrease a lot (10-12 fps in game and 15-20 fps in furmark benchmark). Also GPU usage is very unstable while it turned on. Maybe someone have same issue?

Hello. I have a question about video memory overclocking. I personally have rtx 4060 with Samsung memory chips. Is it safe to overclock a whole 1 Ghz?

90-95% of g6 can handle 1000mhz even more. There is no risk overclocking on software nowdays as long as the "apply on startup" option is not ticked if u have an unstable oc. Unless you are doing physical mods and changing voltage, try it and if you see graphical artifacts tone the oc down.

No, RTX HDR depends on Windows HDR being on. However, make sure that Windows AutoHDR is turned off for your specific game. Start your game with the Nvidia Overlay running and add RTX HDR as a filter for your game and restart game, then RTX HDR settings should be available in Nvidia Overlay.

Nope, PS5 is literally an RX 6700 non XT with shared VRAM, the PS5 Pro has a mixed GPU in between RX 6800 and RX 7800XT with better Ray Tracing and AI cores
