This movie is the epitome of class to me. Even the gags where brad is eating bad food every time he’s portrayed. That was something they talked about in the commentary.
@DurvalLacerda3 жыл бұрын
I just finished the trilogy and I noticed that everytime Danny(Clooney) and Rusty(Brad) were alone together and they started talking about personal issues and relationships suddenly they would cut it off right away, be it by one ignoring what the other said or just straight up changing the subject, almost as if the movie was saying "ok, let's not get too emotional here, this is not this type of movie"; it basically became a gag/joke in the movies, like when they were at the bridge in Amsterdam and Danny(Clooney) started talking about Tess and his feelings and Rusty(Brad) straight up just goes away while Danny(Clooney) keeps talking to himself until he realizes Rust is gone. I love this trilogy

ikr. I lived a Mini version of this movie for a good year and a half. Allow me to explain
@modernillusionist50178 жыл бұрын
This is a long post, but I can assure you it's worth it. (Due to the fear of implication, I'm going to change a couple of things.) So, as you can probably tell, I'm an illusionist. I've been a full-time illusionist for about 17 years. I'm also experienced in basic cons, pickpocketing and poker slights. I don't teach this stuff to others, but when I got married, I decided to teach my wife everything I knew. One of our favorites, was the short change con. Try to keep up with this because this is designed to fool people. It works like this; #1) We walk into a gas station as separate customers. She gets in line first. I get a handful of items while she is first in line. I do this to make the cashier rush in a hurry. #2) She gives the cashier (Ten One Dollar Bills) and asks for a (Ten Dollar Bill). As she receives the (Ten dollar bill), she pockets it right away. #3)The cashier notices that she gave him (Nine One Dollar Bills and One Ten Dollar Bill). So the cashier says, "Ma'am, you gave me (Nineteen Dollars). So she pulls out a (One Dollar Bill) and says, "Here, take this (Dollar) and add it to the (Nineteen Dollars) and just give me a (Twenty Dollar Bill). So now she got (30 Dollars) But she only gave the cashier (20 Dollars). That con earns you 10 dollars every time you do it. And some it looks like a mistake, it's difficult to get caught. Note: (We did not do that con. I just said we did to sound "cool". Doing these cons are illegal.)

Modern Illusionist She's lucky... I'm 13 and I really wanna learn how to be a con can you tell me how did you start
@modernillusionist50178 жыл бұрын
+Mystic NOTE: This is a very, very complicated question/answer. So this post is EXTREMELY long. The length of this post will weed out any one who is not serious. If you have any other questions, let me know.) I began as a slight of hand artist, then as a Magician/Illusionist. As a Magician/Illusionist, your circle of friends begin to change. It begins to get difficult to identify with regular people because 70% of your knowledge is secrets. If I was a police officer, doctor or cashier, I could meet my friends at the end of the day and talk about work. You can't do that as a Magician, unless you give away all your secrets. But you don't want to be alone either. Being a Magician is a lonely life. My first experience with a professional con artist was when I was in Chicago. I saw a man doing the 3 card Monte game. I was about 18 years old. But didn't know if he was scamming people or not. Doing the Monte game is not a scam unless you cheat. I watched for a while and realized he was in fact scamming people. For the purpose of answering your question, I will call him "pops". He is an older black gentleman. I wanted to call the police. As a Magician I felt it was my responsibility to turn him in. Who else would? But for some reason I didn't. I couldn't tell you why. Pops liked me because I was a Magician. And con artists use Magicians methods to execute many of their cons. And Magicians use a kind of personality format that con artists use. So we became friends. I tried talking him into going straight. And he tried to train me as a student. Through him, I met thieves, con artists, pickpocketers, and scam artists. It was difficult being a friend of theirs. Every con they pulled, every item they stole, every lift, pull, cuff or take, I felt partially responsible for. It was scary at times. I am now 34. Its been about 8 years since the last saw him. So, your question is tricky. Because, at your age, the path you choose in life will become cemented and difficult to shake as you get older. I am not going to tell you how to become a con artist. BUT...I can tell you how to live that life legally. A con artist steals money and no one sees his/her performance. A magician earns money, by showing his performance. You can perform cons for entertainment purposes. A book called "The Magician and the card sharp" will give you a perspective on this subject that no other source can. (Another way to live the life of the con without going to jail is to aim for a job in loss prevention. This is a job that allows you to learn, study and catch shoplifters.) If you want to live that life, without the risk of ruining lives and jail time, first become a Magician. After learning and performing magic for 2-3 years, you will have a better idea as to what professional con artists do and how they work. Here is what you should do; Become a Magician. There are six ways to do this. Because there is no "One source" that we get our material from. We get our tricks/effects/gimmicks/props/illusions from, #1. A magic shop #2. Other magicians #3. Internet magic shops and #4. Unfortunately, KZbin tutorials. #5. The most common and effective way is with Instructional Dvds #6. After doing magic for a few years, you will begin to invent your own effects. "Musicians" will play a couple cover songs and a bunch of original songs. "Magicians" will perform a bunch of tricks invented by other magicians, and a couple original effects. These two websites will really open your eyes as to how Magicians are made and developed; www.Ellusionist.com www.theory11.com Looking up these names, and most importantly, their performances on KZbin will give you an idea as to what we do; Dai Vernon Jeff McBride Michael Ammar Ponta The Smith Dan & Dave Buck Tommy Wonder Shin Lim Cardini Dean Dill Jason Latimer David Stone (NOT Houdini (he was an escape artist and awful Magician) (NOT criss angel, he does too many camera tricks) (You can watch David Blaine, but he is not really that good. He just seems really good, because you haven't seen really good Magicians like the ones I'm naming off) If you give me your email, I can guide you through all of this. If you prefer that I continue to send you information through this thread, I can, to a lesser extent, do that as well. Watch the performances from those Magicians. Visit those websites. And get back to me.
