Rode parts of this loop today and the trails are overgrown with thistle and black mustard after the winter rains. Some washouts/gullys from all of the winter water, too.

I was here during the weekend & had to walk parts of snake trail as it was just super dry & looses & my front tires were not ready for it. I got to the hike a bike section & maybe it's my skill but one of the hike a bike section was too steep for me to ride(30t oval 11-42 back). I also went up a trail that was probably double black as it was pretty much just a sandy stair step going down. Forget the name of it. oof

Nice trail, but a bit far for my ride/commute ratio distances, as I live in Oxnard. If you like great ocean views, I'd invite you to Pt. Mugu State Park, a couple dozen miles north/west of Palos Verdes; you can do longer rides also in PMSP Sycamore Canyon. I'd love to show you around there.

Awesome, I fully endorse P/B Reserve, I ride it 1-2 times a week and love the work out. Just be mindful of RATTLE SNAKES especially when the sun crests over the hill around 10-11 a.m. they like to stop and get sun across some of the trails, I've had a few encounters and one close call with a small baby when I stopped to eat a protein bar in some shade.

@@TheOutsiderMTB Always man! When you say you recommend doing this one backwards, are you talking about the entire loop you did, or did you just mean for that last section?
@TheOutsiderMTB5 жыл бұрын
@@jigworx6020 I suggested the entire loop - basically start on the trail I ended because it has more downhill that way. I didn't like finishing this way because the end felt more uphill than down. But when you get over to the other side follow my loop for sure the same way I did.
@jigworx60205 жыл бұрын
@@TheOutsiderMTB Finally hit this one up today!. Hike a biked up pirate trail (helluva warmup) but was so overgrown at the top that it was un-rideable so i turned back down and head to Exultant. Burma killed me on the way up I almost threw up when i took a break at the park lol. Freaking 85% humidity! Only 1 small rocky section on Rattlesnake where i had to walk it (noob), the rest was super fun. Ishibashi was pretty overgrown but was rideable. All in all it was dope but need to work on my endurance and maybe eat some carbs before next time. Going to do this one a few more times and i think i'll be ready for Santiago Oaks, then Laguna. Love your guides man keep it up!

@TheOutsiderMTB6 жыл бұрын
Loving it! Had to wait on a preorder for this colorway, but worth it. I'll be talking more about the bike in future vids and do a 6 month review when that time comes. Can't beat the components for the price on this thing . Thanks for sticking around KEZ.
@Tehkezah6 жыл бұрын
I'm considering buying it since like two weeks or so, but it would be my first expensive bike so I guess it needs some time to make that decision. Found you via instagram trying to find real pictures of the red/red :D But now you got a sub more, very nice videos!
@TheOutsiderMTB6 жыл бұрын
Awesome - appreciate that! It is a big decision, but for the components, like I said, it's tough to beat. The only issue is you don't get to try it beforehand because it's direct. I'm having a blast on mine though as you can see. ;)
