I don't think it's hyperbole to suggest Jerry Stiller's performance in this role was one of the best supporting characters in sitcom history. So underrated. He was great on Seinfeld but that character was very one dimensional (loud and aggressive). This role of Arthur Spooner was so incredibly nuanced with a sentimental dreamer / oddball romantic side to compliment the ranting nutcase. It was truly genius. KoQ was a very good show all around but Stiller's character and performance bumped it up a notch to being great.

Why hasnt any streaming service added this show? Its so underrated. I wish they'd add shows like this. Mike&molly, two & a half men, mom..
@aliencatcrew33365 жыл бұрын
They dont add it because they have to pay royalties to air the show. Maybe they dont want to. Also i learned that when netflix picks up a show like FRASIER, they actually have to purchase a copyright film liscence which eventually expires. Since netflix is a 3rd party and they are providing people with the same entertainment as television, the same way people pay for cable is the same way netflix or hulu has to pay to purchase the show. This limited liscence provides the pay out for the people in the film or show, and provides netflix with the capability to have the show stream to all its members. I noticed, which is bothersome is once they stream a show, it never comes back, and you cannot request a show for them to stream. Im only talking about the television sitcom aspect of the streaming service. Movies are a little different i presume. Note; i have no education in thw film industry nor do i know anything about this at all. This is just my common sense at play. Lol lol
