I don't think I've ever seen such flawless casting elsewhere. Jerry Stiller and Estelle Harris were borh PERFECT as George's parents. They pulled off the old bitter married couple so well! Hard to believe that they had other partners in real life. The fact that they both physically resembled George was just the icing on the cake.

I just adore Jerry Stiller's delivery. He might have the funniest delivery of any comedic actor. The way he fumbles his lines, like he legit forgets the lines as he reads 'em, is hilarious. His mannerisms, his screaming, his accent... he's all over the place. His personality explains so well why George's turned out the way he has. Stiller was genuinely born to play this role.

Stiller did a great job at Frank Costanza. I don't think anyone else could have come close as George's father. I saw an interview with him saying the character was supposed to be meek and quiet, but he broke character one day, started yelling, and the rest is hilarious history.

1:14 I love how Estelle is increasingly frightened and how she starts to cringe when Frank goes beserk. Stillers ability to go from 0 to 10 on the angrily/frustration scale (over nothing!) in a second is amazing. The entire Costanza family fits so well together and all of them complement eachother in an incredible way. Such an epic sitcom (about nothing!).

Jerry's "you want a piece of me" quip cracked Julia up so much, they had to repeat that take dozens of times just to wrap the scene without her laughing. The take that appears in the episode is actually the "least funny" of the lot; Jerry's delivery in the other ones was simply too funny for Julia to play against.

Jerry Stiller is superb comedian and Frank was the perfect character for him. He gave us some of the greatest comedy to ever come out of the USA - SERENITY NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
