So I recently made a video • I Bought One Of The Be... about one of the best cars ever made. The Ford Crown Victoria. Well in this video I'm going to narrow that assessment down a little bit and tell you why my 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Street Appearance Package is the best car ever made! Here is a hint. Luxury and performance!
Here is a paid Amazon link to the center console I talk about in the video amzn.to/36Eq4dt

I love them. Easy to run, easy to fix, powerful enough to play with, with a surprising gas mileage for such a heavy vehicle.

I bought a 20122 CVPI yesterday for $9k with 68,000 miles on the odometer. Although being 20 feet long this car handles like a much smaller car, corners well, great steering and gets decent mileage. I made sure to get the one with the 3.27 rear axle. I have wanted one of these models since the late 90's and I finally got my dream car. I now understand what all the hype is about.

the only CVPI that doesn't have the 3.27 is the C6 which has 3.55 LSD. Axle code Z5 is open 3.27 and X5 is 3.27 LSD, ford called the LSD "trak-lok"

Awesome car. I have an 02 LX in matador red and love it but the old suspension and steering is the drawback. Scary thing happened was cruising at highway speed and out of nowhere the front ball joint broke and the right tire separated from the car and it collapses onto the road. I’m lucky to have survived They were known for ball joint issues

I bought a 2009 P71 in January.. white exterior all black interior.. this reminds me a lot of mine!!! No cage no spotlight and mine had 1092 hours 168k miles when I bought it!!! Mine must have been used what this one was used for! This is so cool man! Mine was a Texas car sooo clean absolutely no rust. Has a lot of fade on the cruise control buttons so that means it must've seen a lot of highway driving!

Love the color combination that red with the tan interior. Also like how the side body trim runs the whole length compared to the interceptor. My 98 only had it on the front and rear door where as yours looks more complete. Only thing I would change is the hub caps. I've personally never like they look on any car. I like hubcaps just not the style the Vic's came with.

I've got a Maine State Police 2010 CVPI that I'd match car for car against you any day and Idle hours may be at around 5600 and it has about 251k for miles, but you'd never know it. It was bought New in late 09' and sat for 2 years at Maines DOT lot before getting assigned to a 30 mile stretch of 95 in Maine for 6mon's then it was assigned to the Governors detail and it was very well maintained. It drives like it has half that mileage. I wouldn't part with it for anything.

Nope, I own a former service vehicle and am NOT attempting to give off the appearance of being law enforcement. I've deliberately done several things to avoid that, such as a complete-car paint job (black), 5-fan blade aluminum wheels and window deflectors. No coolant issues thus far, no transmission issues to-date, no cooling fan issues, just none of those things. And where's your engine cover? I have a spare if you need it - lol! I have a Rampage center console myself. Good addition that was.

@@roberth912 Ford switched oil coolers and oil cooler adapter for 2009 so out with FL820S and in with FL910 which is smaller. If the car sits, tappets dry out which causes tappet noise at start up. 820S is larger and keeps more oil high up so no tappet noise. FL910 can be substituted with the larger FL400. The 17" ghetto wheels are actually a fairly major downgrade. Not only are they ugly, but the tires have much narrower sidewalls than the civilian model, resulting in a much rougher ride. The police models also have a much lower rear axle gear ratio, making the engine and transmission turn much faster at any given speed, causing them to burn more gas and wear out faster. Both my 2006 and 2007 Mercury Grand Marquis came with "keyless entry" I kept bumping the alarm button with the keys in my pocket, so I put the key fobs in a drawer somewhere, where they will likely remain forever. I grew up with '60s and '70s cars that didn't have crap like that, and have no problem just using the key to unlock the doors. Putting the cars in drive releases the parking brake, but putting it in reverse doesn't. Somewhat annoying. Try to avoid buying white ones. My 2006 Grand Marquis was white, now half the white paint has peeled off. No other colors have that problem. If your car does not have a full size spare, GET ONE!!!! Get one NOW!!!!! While on a trip back to Phoenix from Seattle a couple years ago, I had a right front tire fail about 50 miles north of Las Vegas. It was late Saturday evening. No tire shops open, and they wouldn't be open until Monday. So I put that tiny little donut spare on, and drove 45 mph all the way back home. I was almost killed several times. As soon as I got home I replaced all 4 tires, and got a full size wheel and had a full sized spare put on that. I prefer the floaty ride of the older models, but the 2003 and up models are way stronger and tougher than the older ones, and the rack and pinion will last twice as long as the old recirculating ball steering. And they still have a nice ride, especially the Grand Marquis models, which are also Panther cars.
