Hats off to all the athletes in the video. Showing a great display of strength and hard work. Takes years of practice and dedication to pull off these moves! My only issue is there wasn't a single leg exercise / move in the video. It's making me believe that "calisthenics" is focusing a lot more on the upper body. There are pistols, shrimp squats, high jumps, long jumps, backflips and the list goes on. I hope 2015 will push people to start incorporating those moves. Just my 2 cents. Happy new year!

So, I want to permanently switch from lifting weights to just calisthenics, but I wonder if I should keep doing upper and lower body on seperate days. What is recommended?
@jimmysyar8899 жыл бұрын
No you want to do everything together. This is more of a full body workout.
@JustLIkerapunzel9 жыл бұрын
Jimmy Star Why not...?! Where should be the advantage of not separating excercises to different days except of that it might be more common not to...? I just know from my experience of stretching to get to a contortion level - everybody seems to recommend to do like 3h just contortion training a day (full body stretching) and to me that way of getting into it wasted a lot of time cause while it worked for a simple frontsplit - I couldn't see results for other advanced stretches like sidesplits, backbends at all. Now I split up my training and address different bodyparts on different days and BOOM - within 3 months results I couldn't dream for during 3 years of practice it's almost ridiculous... So IMO everybody should try to figure out for themselves what works best for their bodies and also what's most fun cause motivation does already half the work I think :)

Awesome vid man. Imo no. 2 should be no. 1 because the #1 is more gym than street. I mean that kind of skill is hard to acquire at the park so I think its pushing the boundaries of "street" workout. Just an opinion though as It's all calisthenics like you've stated. That CTI was mind blowing though gotta say o_o

I'm 16 years old, very skinny and new to calisthenics. I'm in pretty good shape. But I'm definitely not muscular. I started around 2 weeks ago and already made a little progress. I'm doing the same 30 min workout everyday. My question is: should I do the same workout routine everyday, or split body parts? So everyday a different body part? Ty

I really like all the calisthenics videos of people showing what they can do with their upper bodies. But there really needs to be more videos of the same people showing off what they can do with their legs. There is a lot of cool feats to be done with legs. Start doing that pls.

not saying #1 wasn't impressive, but it seems like a common move in gymnastics. It's still amazing and I can't do it but, I would have preferred something that is innovative or challenging calisthenics specific. (my two cents)
