I really miss him in Anthrax. He did a lesson/article in Guitar School magazine in 1992 that taught me so much. It laid the foundation for my rhythm style.

My all time favorite Dan Spitz solo from the Persistence of Time album. The solo in the song Time is really great.

1.) Danny was the only reason I liked Anthrax. Scott.... is.... well... never-ending 2.) Randy Rhoads and Danny Spitz made me like the Jackson V 3.) Joey looks like a maniac in that head dress

Absolutely, Danny was effin epic as a lead guitarist among "the big four" and I'm glad I was up in the terraces at the Hammy 'O back on the State of Euphoria in 1989 as otherwise I would never have seen him, bless. He's the only lead guitarist I can think of who's guitars are bigger than he is. He decided to become a "thrash metal guitarist" to show people that just because he's only 2 feet 5 inches tall it doesn't mean he's not capable of BIG things - and man can he play.

He and Alex from Testament are the most underrated both are genious i prefer Anthrax mostly over Tallica or Slayer but i think they all was great

Haha funny you said that ...I was trying to figure out if there was another lead player who was as soulful as Alex on their first album as Alex was on The Legacy and I don't think anybody was including Hammett.

Dan è riuscito a creare un suo stile nei soli. Per me è stata una grossa perdita quando se ne andò dagli anthrax. L'assolo prima di stand or fall, rimane un capolavoro.
@rmrm10022 жыл бұрын
He was the axe-man in that band, but with all due respect I and we all have watched Scott turn into one himself….like a fine wine aging well musically.
