My first date was in Preston circa 1989. It was great back then - pretty sure it was cinema, and then a restaurant (not Nando’s) - was near on perfection by my standards at the time……

There's not really a best of really. Isn't a lot of their "spontaneous" witty answers fake as they know about the topics prior to recording? They'd be lost for material if the Tories and the right didn't exist. Hislop has always looked so pleased with himself. " Look how witty I am! " as he looks around the audience. Typical lefty programme and channel.

Right, because the tories are so well known for their hilarity.

Yeah, Ian Hislop famously a fan of labour..Nevermind him viciously hating Blair, having a go at Prescott both on Private Eye and on HIGNFY, making fun of Milliband weekly, having a laugh at Corbyn every time he opened his mouth, attacking and mocking Livingstone even when he was a guest of the show..All of that came from a place of love, i guess. Also, saying " they won't have any material without the Tories" about a political satire show, when the Tories were in power for years, is actually moronic. Sorry, but it is. They make fun of and sometimes expose what politicians are doing, what the heck should they be talking about? The weather? I don't always agree with Ian or Paul, but saying they just make fun of the right is untrue.
