It's enough for his credit that he composed the greatest song of Indian cinema 'abhi na jao chorr kar'. But feels sorry to hear that he was cast out of the direction of music for his next movie 'Guide' by S.D.Burman using the influence of Dev Anad. Even it's said two of the songs of that movie 'tere mere sapney' and ' din dhal jae' were his original compositions. This is how we lost a genius forever. A great musician!!! Every small piece of sound seems distinct and melodious in his music. Bless forever!

Legend Jaidedev was Great Sonthen Music Director ! He was one of best arranger and Musician of SD Bermanda. After enough struggle he was about enter as Music Director, he was called by his ill father. He has assured his dying father that he will raise his young step brothers. He stayed back for years together with them. Came back after pretty long period and became wonderful music director!

Incredible, I have been listening to these gems for couple of decades and crediting the composition to another music director. Some of these compositions especially my favourites from 'Gamam' and 'Gharonda' is soul stirring numbers. A good effort by Saregaa to bring out a wonderful collection of very talented composer Shri Jaidev . But I find many notable compositions are left behind . .songs from Reshma Aur Shere are conspicuously missed . Similarly Jaidev produced gem of songs in the film Kinare Kinare but none of the songs is included . Mukesh 's number "Jab Game Ishq statata hai to hans leta hoon " is arguably one of them top five commpostions of them then composer . Saregaa would do well to include some more memorable hits of Jaidev .
