I think it's what islandbee says it is, Jared admits that he never enjoyed his job or working at Hooli until he came to Pied Piper and that he believes in what their doing, and thanks Richard for being the one to save him from Hooli. One of the big themes in the show is loyalty...Jared is loyal to Richard becasue Richard is deserving of it, Monica was loyal to peter Gregory and then Laurie becasue they are/were worthy of it, Gavin Belson has no one loyal to him, becasue he does not inspire loyalty only undermining and backstabbing/grovelling.
