What most speed-freak metal heads don't get is that it's not just about speed. Just listen to all those damn interesting breaks, and riffs, and twists and turns, stops and starts that are always going somewhere with a plan and a purpose. That's what amazes me most about Page's playing, they are compositions. He was always about creating epic, sonic journies through the mind with sound. I NEVER got bored listening to him just because of the great trips his playing always took you on

I spent quite a lot of hours learning and playing Page in my youth, and I can tell you that you've done your homework!! There are guys who 'copy' Page, and there are guys who 'play' him. You've done an excellent job at both.. It's about understanding where someone is coming from. And that's what's necessary to play someone properly. You definitely understand the way he thinks... Great job.

Great montage!!! I have been listening to Jimmy Page since I saw Led Zep in concert in 1969. I have played guitar since then. That was a real treat. I especially like the classic riffs from LZ I and II. Nice GTBT, Heartbreaker, Whole Lotta Love, great Ocean and even snuck in Moby Dick, The Rover and Nobody's Fault But Mine. Awesome! Thanks!

Those of you who commented that he didn't get every note exactly as Jimmy played it have missed the point. He has totally nailed Jimmy's style and feel, which is the most important thing. I've heard lots of Page solo covers, but most play the notes but not the soul. This guy captured the soul as well, and that's quite an accomplishment.

He had something, a vision in his head and the ability to execute it that no other rock guitarist had or currently has. 300 years from now people will still be marvelling at the genius of Jimmy Page

"Ramble On." Page explains that he achieved the smooth, sustaining violin-like tone on the solo by using the neck pickup on his Les Paul with the treble cut. I don't know guitar playing nearly as well as you, Doug, but I do like to research what I don't know. I love the way Jimmy plays in "Ramble On."
