So you go to a restaurant to continue the date, but then Chef Ramsay walks in alone and is trying multiple things from the menu. . . You decide to go to the movies, but 'Ghost Adventures' are monologing outside of the theater for some weird reason. You decide to take a cab home, and it turns on to be Ben Bailey in Cash Cab. You got everything wrong, however... You had free drinks... free food... Didn't punch Zak in the face (or maybe you did)... and got a free ride home. Reasonable date or Nah?

Production told the owner to flirt with Nicole, Jon knew it was fake, but still laid hands on the owner, owner sued, since he didn’t even want to flirt with Nicole in the first place. That’s reality tv for you, gotta make sure all contracts are signed before instilling adulterous behavior.

Season 1 almost feels like a completely different series compared to Season 9 but that’s the way of reality tv. Hopefully we can at least see more of Jon’s family in the future. On a side note I’m surprised the iconic Headhunters scene wasn’t included.

@@TheNyxia What I mean is the first two seasons had more focus on bar/business/kitchen knowledge, Jon’s outrage bursts felt less cartoonish and mainly there was more authenticity regarding the state of the bar including the owners. Now if you look at season 9, there isn’t nearly as much knowledge presented, half the time it doesn’t seem like the owners are in any financial trouble but are in it for a remodel and there is much larger focus on drama to the point it largely feels inauthentic. I say this as someone who greatly enjoyed Seasons 1 - 4.

I don't think they could work together. Both have hot tempers and would clash with each other within 20 minutes. Gordon would also have something to say about a couple of his female "experts" and their unprofessional tattoo jobs. Jon had to have hired Ashley in particular partially because her tattoos make her unemployable in the fancy bar business including the bar she was plucked from after Jon did his makeover on it. She is good at bartending but her tattoos alone would keep her from working in any bar I were to own.

I found Season 1 a bit dry. The "dollars per square foot" stuff was interesting. But ultimately it's a show about a big bully berating people who can't fight back. Or, as one person nicely put it, "humiliation porn". Surely some filming days Jon is tired or indifferent, but he knows his job is to belittle and yell so he grinds through and does the work.

@9:15 During that entire interaction with them he never came across to me as inappropriate. In fact, Nicole states at the beginning that she and friend go in and flirt with the staff. Her friend actually puts her hand on his cheek at one point. But they have the nerve to say that he was creepy and crossed a line. He hung around a little longer then he probably should have but they were engaging him. Nicole also said that he made an sexual innuendo about the cocktail, but they never showed that on video. That's a little strange considering this show NEVER holds back on showing people doing/saying things they shouldn't. That whole hypocritical scenario just really bothered me...
