Absolutely, he reminds me of some military members I knew. While my Drill Sgts were not "kind" lol, the best ones knew how to approach every trainee to more efficiently... train them. it makes perfect sense compared to just constant negative reinforcement after one example, but of course it's BCT so that was certainly used, especially with more simple procedures of course, and even more so the earlier in BCT it was. Taffer absolutely knows when to actually teach and when to remind people why they're there. I wish there were more people so honest/blunt and able to teach in the world.

The job I work now let me get away with not showing up, although I would show up a different day. It was the abuse 2 people constantly gave me that just made me not turn up. The fact that it made me feel so guilty and hate myself and then I see somebody do it without a care in the world is just disgraceful. If my employer let me go during that time, I would've understood entirely. I was expecting it tbh.

A lot of people have to remember that these bartenders were always drinking daily on the job, and now they're expected to be sober so they're probably even dealing with the anxiety of minor withdrawals. When I was younger I used to work in the restaurant industry and people would get wasted on their shifts. And people that weren't allowed to drink or couldn't drink sometimes come to work sweaty and shaking there's a lot of addiction in the restaurant industry in the bar industry.

So sad I'm so glad I stopped drinking the withdrawals are literally more dangerous than getting of meth or other drugs! Benzodiazapienes aka anxiety meds and alcohol withdrawal can cause seizures and death ☠️ it's legal but literally is worse than marijuana. I'll smoke now and then for my PTSD but no more liquor it's not worth it. Plus hangovers suck especially as you get older!

2:20 "she's a good employee when she shows up..." Yeah, you can get straight A's in school, but a few zeros will knock that average down. In every job I've ever had, a no call no show would be enough to terminate employment unless it was due to something outside of a person's control. Hell, I was in a serious car accident, my cell was destroyed and I woke up hours later in the hospital. My family didn't even know until 5pm that day, and sure enough I had a call from HR to discuss my future with the company. I was able to prove everything so I wasn't fired, but hearing the bartenders tell their boss they were late or didn't show up because they were asleep or lost track of time? Fired.

As some one who works in a kinda dead restaurant that only gets busy on holidays and big weekends, i can understand why the bartenders have a hard time in these stress tests. Unless they have worked in a place that gets that slammed with customers and or know how to make the new drinks menus they will have a hard time. And with Jon's yelling or the customers complaining the stress of being busy or making new drinks will get to them! Unless ur Ashley Clark ofc, not everyone is as badass as them😌
