They say you can't go home again but you proved them wrong. Must have brought back a lot of great memories. I wonder how much of those years your kids remember.

I think this was my favourite video to date. How special to get to visit where you lived, remember your time there and share those memories with loved ones. Actually, I enjoyed all three videos of your days off the ship. Cheers.😀

Traveled solo to Europe for the first time last year and spent a good week for the Oktoberfest and let me tell you what a blast. Munich is a great city, very clean.

"We didn't waste anytime" That's an understatement. Close to 120 MPH! I'm used to Connecticut where you can't drive faster than 30 MPH because of all the potholes and highway construction.

This video brings back memories for me. I've been to Munich and a few Bavarian villages. I was billeted with a German family for a week when my daughter competed with her marching band. (we're from Windsor, Ont Canada) (b.t.w. we have property near Lewiston Michigan) I absolutely love Germany. My son was also with his high school band competing in Germany at a different time. So that being said, we all eventually made it the Marienplatz but at different times. Oh and your Christmas tree with the world ornaments is stunning. I did get ornaments in Germany when I was there. Love your videos!

Very fun. I too lived in Munich back in 1969-1972 I lived in Perlacher Forest with my family. My Dad worked for the DOD we lived in the US Army housing. One of the best times of my life was spent there. I can see the joy in your eyes just talking of your time there. I went back in 2004.

Here I go again I’m going through memory lane. I have a good friend that lives north of Munich near Landschuts! My German is very rusty too, but I did try to get over there every four or five years when I’m in Europe to visit her. I’ve enjoyed all of yours, but this week has really brought back memories.

Late train, what?...we never had that issue with the great German engineering. 😊 We took a train to Rostock from the cruise port and explored both towns.
@livingphase2Ай бұрын
Great suggestion, and it seems the German trains are not near as on time and reliable as they were 20 years ago. 😪
@tammywoodruff9225Ай бұрын
@livingphase2 , ugh, bummer (on the trains). That is when we went for a land trip -- 2004. My husband printed the train number, time, and platform, and they were always there and went where we intended to go. Great if you have limited German language skills.

Hi from Ireland Ive been following your adventures since the start. Ive been waiting for this video since you have previously mentioned you used to live in Munich. I also lived in Munich and I was there when you were there. I lived in Munich in 2002 and 2003 and I worked in Hard Rock Cafe, opposite Hofbruahaus. When you lived in Munich did you ever go to Hard Rock?

Thank you! Yes, I was referring to the biking t-shirt. I love it. My son-in-law grew up that way and he may have to pick me up one next time he is home Or maybe I can order online! Merry Christmas!
