Because they are coming from religious dogmatic beliefs which are entirely emotional and force themselves into a worldview of fear and submission. They literally CANT learn or participate in anything that would even remotely challenge what they’ve been spoon-fed..

Here's what you have to keep in mind: For most of history, everybody was extremely ignorant. Even a conspiracy theorist nutjob or young Earth creationist knows more today than some of the most educated people did 200 years ago. I agree that is seems like there are camps of educated and willfully stupid people on opposite sides, but total knowledge has radically increased.

26:00 was one of that moments that shows that those people are completely unable to put themselfs into another persons viewpoint. They can't even think about two observers at the same time. He imagines himself as one of the observers and concluded: "I can't be in two places at once, so there is no second observer..." This is the most egocentric view I've ever seen. Though it explains a lot of the claims some people made. Just imagine other people have the same take on things. They could never ever figure out anything that requires more than one observer because they themselfs can't "split". They are the product of our society, because natural selection may have gotten rid of them a long time ago, but they got dragged along. To be fair, most people nowadays are kinda dragged along, that's how society works. Not everybody has to be capable of hunting, self-defense and many other traits since the society has people who specialises in those things. Though flerfs have specialised in nonsense and being ignorant.

The problem is the validity of the argument. Philosophy is useful when tied to real world evidence and a sound and valid argument. Outside of that there are very few things you can't philosophize. It has its place when applied correctly. People use it to imagine and make any crazy thing seem logical.

It is on it's own "useless". Thinking and understanding alone gives us next to nothing in terms of data. As soon as we start using ANY sort of instrument or implement ANY sort of experiment it is no longer in the realm of philosophy. Philosophy by definition deals purely with ideas and the meta of everything. It's a thought experiment. It means nothing significant until we apply other actually tangible disciplines like physics/biology/chemistry/geology etc. to then find empirical evidence we can scrutinize and eventually accept as scientific fact.
