In Singapore there are few car or truck accidents and nearly every accident becomes a fist fight. The fines are so steep that the driver will lose his license for life, even if the other driver was at fault. In Singapore the 1st penalty for spitting on the sidewalk or not washing their hands in public is $100, 2nd penalty is a year in jail. My buddy worked the ship yard there and saw 70 men working that each only had one hand. It is a very prosperous society with few thieves, or reckless drivers, or dented cars, and no gum on the sidewalk or pavement.

@@Saitama_San222 It's already around 40% of drivers who drive without any valid licence. Now imagine what would happen with that kind of test... @williamgeardener25092 жыл бұрын
@@ellesix688 Taking and passing a test says nothing about their ability to safely participate in traffic. I've been a licensed driving instructor in the Netherlands where people have to go to a driving school to be able to apply for a test. I've had students that would not hesitate to kill pedestrians "because they weren't using the designated crossing" or " They ignored the "don't walk" light." I've had students who would murder a family because "they didn't have the right of way, I did." They passed their tests, because the 45 minutes in traffic under the supervision of an examinator isn't enough to get an impression of how people are going to drive in real life. I know for sure that some of those students lacked empathy and social awareness, which would qualify them as psychopaths with a license to kill All candidates should also be tested on their psychological ability to operate a killing machine before giving them a drivers license.

I still recall this one day in 1996 when I was going to deliver a load Tide to a grocery warehouse in Maryland. There was a truckstop across the street from it where I had parked the night before. I left out the back gate to make it easier to enter the warehouse's gate and before I could get to it some idiot stepped out of the bushes in front of my truck. I grabbed another gear and he moved. As I was standing next to the tractor with the door open talking to the guard the guy from the bushes came walking up wanting to know why I tried to run over him.🤦🏽♂️ I told him that I didn't know him from a hole in the ground and if he did it again he may not be so lucky. When he came up I put my hand inside the truck and laid it on my crowbar or tire thumper. That's where I kept them for easy access. The idiot looked at me as if I was nuts turned and walked away. I then turned back to the guard who looked like he was ready to run away and continued giving him my information as if we weren't interrupted. Then I backed up to my assigned dock door, went in and unloaded 42,000+ pounds of shrink-wrapped, palletized detergent. The next time I had to deliver there nobody stepped out in front of me. A load weighing 42,000 plus pounds on a tractor-trailer weighing 32,000 pounds empty does not stop on a dime. You do the math on total weight yet idiots stupidly think they can stop on a dime and give change back.🤷🏼♂️🤦🏽♂️
