Absolutely. What is the driver in video #1 trying to prove? He's wearing a go-pro (or something) while he's driving at (he claims) 70mph on a road that probably has a 45mph-55mph speed limit then posts a video showing how he avoided an accident. Sure, the other guy pulled in front of him but breaking the law by speeding in that environment doesn't make the situation better. Had he hit the other vehicle it is not inconceivable that his awesome video would be used as evidence that he was approaching the intersection at a far greater speed than is allowed which may have contributed to the accident. So much for the "look at me" video at that point.

BuT mA pRiDe 'N fReEdOm WaS iN dAnGeR! A week ago, a bus cut me off by driving into my lane. I hit the brakes, because I'm not stupid enough to wage war with a multi-ton bus with my brave little compact. Of course I honked at the driver, but if I hadn't done a full emergency brake I absolutely would have crashed into the rear side. Next traffic light, he rolled down his window and apologized profusely, it was an honest mistake. It's a miracle that some peoples ego, stupidity and anger fit in a normal car.
@scifigirl00724 жыл бұрын
I let people merge appropriately. The issue is most drivers who need to merge don't slow down to merge they simply stay same speed or faster and try to make a hole where there is none. It's the responsibility of the merging driver to manage the merge......not the drivers in the regular lanes.
@AnonLemur4 жыл бұрын
If someone is trying to merge into a lane where the average speed is 70 and they're only going 55-60 it's extremely disruptive to the flow of traffic. The driver trying to merge in is the one who needs to worry about merging in a safe manner. And sometimes they just don't.

Imagine having a 100 year old lady in a van and someone cuts you off because you're going the speed limit with precious cargo. Drives me nuts! @olivia irene I have no sympathy for people who intentionally use a closing/merging lane to bypass traffic. There's never-ending construction in my area, and I constantly see someone pull out of the queue, gun their engine to race to the front of the line, and try to cut back in. The lane closures are very obvious and clearly marked/warned about for quite a distance before hand, so you know they are doing it on purpose. It is also always a BMW or big pickup truck 90% of the time so it is definitely a "that kind of person" type of thing and not something sensible people do. If you are defending this practice, I'd be interested to know what kind of vehicle you drive.
@Kune354 жыл бұрын
Oh and you should NEVER drive in a manner that forces other drivers to take evasive action to avoid a collision with you. I don't care if people are being inconsiderate and not letting you in, or if you're in a hurry and don't want to wait for traffic to clear when turning onto/pulling out onto a street. Other people being jerks doesn't give your entitled ass the moral right to force people to have to choose between a collision or letting you have your way.

Occasionally I run into someone who, not only isn't using c.c., but also can't seem to go a steady speed. I see most of the drivers shown here act extremely irresponsible. They needlessly escalate things, also by forcing their right of way, instead of applying brakes, where needed. That's what I was thinking. I'm no semi driver but don't they usually have to make wide turns?
@Simboiss2 жыл бұрын
It's possible that the truck driver was inexperienced, sure, but no one can determine that at first glance. I think the problem is not the wide turn, of course all trucks have to do this no matter what. The problem is to engage in an intersection without making sure there is enough clearance in the lane you're turning into. Cars can do that, too, and not necessarily when turning.
@siobhan71572 жыл бұрын
@@Simboiss - I get your point, but clearance isn't the issue here, nor is it the truckers fault in any way. There's plenty of clearance as it's a two lane. The issue is that it's two lane with the right lane backed up and stalled for some reason. It's unlikely the driver expected the traffic in that lane to stay at a stand still. When traffic is backing up like that, even if it's just in one lane, someone needs to be out there to direct traffic away from that lane if it's possible it will effect the flow of traffic elsewhere.

That woman trying to run the scooter off the road at the 3:40 mark had me fuming. Holy cow, the sense of entitlement and “whatevuh whatevuh I do what I want!” coming off of her was absolutely infuriating.

Except he gets over into the shoulder/turn lane, she’s stupid but it’s reasonable to say that he was turning off. Most people edge around someone as they are turning off.

@@StevenPenny if he had a turn signal on then maybe, still doesn't make it safe to go around someone like that, especially a bike of any kind

@@salaha1737 they are not wrong however. A lot of people like her believe that they have a form of entitlement against white people because it's not racist to be assholes to white people but all white people are racist so they can be treated like lessers because racists are bad people. It's the kind of mentality is it caused five billion dollars in damage by black lives matter last year. Damages they continue to do to this day politicians bail them out after they get arrested for rioting then they get arrested the next day for rioting and get bailed out yet again. We're in a very politically heated time you're going to have to expect that most everything has a political aspect to it it isn't deep it's pretty much surface-level at this point
