Brake checking has to be the most American thing I've ever seen, I'm not sure it happens much in the rest of the world. It's like "Yeah, lets get myself rear-ended so I can prove how angry I am!"... Annnnnd, you get a wreckless driving fine as a result in 90% of cases...? It's really not a win for anyone, just a giant waste of time and results in you getting in everyone's way.

@IiI_Gogeta_IiI3 жыл бұрын
While i agree with pretty much all of your points the “hogging the passing lane” is a bit eh. To me it doesnt look like a highway though given the speed maybe it is? Where i live we have a road that cuts through the city the limit is only 80kmh and its a 4 to 6 lanes (it changes) where as the road that goes around the city that connects to the main highway is 100kmh, i guess my point is some roads look like highways but are not classified as highways. Sorry im sounding dumb, and please dont take this as an argument or what have you just trying to point out. Maybe the rules in the states are w ee bit different though i do know of the left lane being passing but i get confused because of the highway like road that cuts through my city but highway rules dont apply 😅

Some states in the US do not have a duty to retreat. That means after being followed for a few miles and threatened, deadly force would be justified. There are a lot of concealed carry permits out there. Many states also don't require a permit inside of your property (vehicle included). @johnnyliu71053 жыл бұрын
@@B00STED.B exactly, new drivers are so focused on everything else you don't release they're causing problems. We need to teach people to drive normal, focus on being a good driver first and learn to focus on everything else as you drive over the years. At some point, it just becomes second nature to focus on everything else and you don't even think about it anymore. I had to teach myself how to drive and I remember how nervous I was because I couldn't figure out how people kept their eyes on their speed and drive at the same time, then as you just keep driving, you just don't look at your speed, you flow with traffic, only checking every so often to be safe.

@@B00STED.B that’s exactly what they teach: glancing and keeping things in mind. They want you to be attentive, not worried. You need a “hope for the best, plan for the worst” mindset, not an “oh my god, what if this happens) mindset. The instructor would probably see that and fail you or tell you to take more lessons.

In my early 20's (I'm now 55) I used to have such road rage. I found myself driving backwards to turn around and chase someone. But one day that all changed. For some reason some dumbass kids decided to tailgate me for a few miles. And I mean almost on my bumper. So I turned into an apartment complex and stopped, then started driving backwards fast. The look on his face changed to terror and concern when he saw me coming. But then, just before I ran into them, I looked down in the backseat and saw my infant son sitting there in his car seat. My immediate thoughts turned to his safety. Why am I acting this way when the end result could possibly injure him. The other car reversed out of there quickly and I sat there for a moment and asked myself what I might gain and what I might lose from these situations. That was the very last time any kind of road rage ever crept into my mind. It's very stupid and what do you get out of it? A momentary victory in your pocket. If someone does something in a vehicle to piss you off just let it go. It's just not worth it.

9:17 - I would have to imagine that the first thing the cops would ask the driver of the camera car should be "Didn't you see that guy? How did you miss him? He was right there, you must have seen him creep over?". Yeah you're right, you don't have to let him in, but you saw he was gonna force it and didn't react, so your behaviour contributed to this accident happening. You could have very easily prevented it, no matter how wrong the other guy was, but chose not to. Barely less of an idiot at that point if you ask me.

Watching these makes me realize how much I've improved my driving. I was able to predict exactly what was going to happen in most of clips. I strive to be a true professional Class A driver. Since I got my first speeding ticket just over a year ago I made it my mission to be the best driver on the road. Most road incidents can be avoided by just being vigilant. With enough patience and responsibility you can tell who is going to cut you off or even brake check you. Of course you can never be 100%. Believe it or not you can actually avoid being "cut-off" all together if you have the reflexes and spacial awareness.
@lafemmesue72733 жыл бұрын
And a lot can be avoided if the driver doesn’t feel the need to prove a point - the other driver may be having a bad day & didn’t mean to cut someone off, I’ve found I feel a lot better about myself if I give them the benefit of doubt & let them in
