Maple syrup, specifically hot maple syrup, is both intoxicating and hypnotic? I had no idea. Does one heat the maple syrup up in the microwave? Pan on the stove? @@ZeufAabe I personally don't feel this way. The show had already gotten much more complex by season 8 and heavily focussed on characters. If they would have introduced another boss like micheal or deangelo I would've honestly stopped watching, so it was breath of fresh air to see a character that so doesn't fit in the environment trying to adapt there, plus he was only there for one season. Season 8 was almost entirely saved by Robert and Dwight though, everything else had just gotten too meh.

Throughout the series I was always waiting for the reveal that Robert didn't even understand what he was saying, but he speaks it in a certain way so people think he's way smarter than them. This was such an underrated character, in an otherwise great season of The Office. Yes, Michael was gone, but they didn't attempt to replace him with a carbon copy of the same thing. The show also had more stories to tell, and this was a great diversion.

I always loved how they just re-made the show instead of trying to copy Michael Scott. Unfortunately this character went under rated and they replaced with him a new version of Andy who was just that, a a carbon copy of Michael Scott. And the copy is never as good as the original. I liked season 8 but season 9 was just horrible. Plus Ryan and Kelly weren’t there any more and I feel their absence in the writing more than as characters on the show.
