I like that Ron listened to Ann about eating the banana, he acts like he doesn’t care about anyone yet he shows us that he does indeed care about others and that he does listen to what people say even if he acts like he’s ignoring them. I think it’s a great connection to how his character is the opposite of Leslie, she loves hearing people talk but she doesn’t really listen to what they’re saying unless it’s something government related or if it’s Ben or Ann she’s talking to.

Ron summed up his management style when he became the Pawnee national park superintendent in the finale: "If you show up on time, speak honestly, and treat everyone with fairness, we will get along just fine." I like how clearly expects and respects hard work and reliability if he thinks something is worth doing, but could care less if he thinks it's a waste of time.
