The last episode of season 8, the boot camp episode, is exactly when The Simpsons truly died. The show was utter brilliance (sure, some episodes in this run were better than others) and the subsequent seasons had some episodes that were _okay at best,_ but the golden era was gone after that. At least we got what we got so nostalgia driven nerds like myself can obsessively rant about it for decades to come.

Season four was when the show started to get good. 1 to 3 are fine, but it was a mixed bag and a lot of episodes either didn't age well or had their moments, but weren't that great overall.

Actually, neither Marie Curie nor Pierre Curie died from radiation poisoning. Pierre died in a traffic accident, and Marie died from cancer. While undoubtedly her lifetime working with radioactive substances was a causative factor, she did not die from the immediate effects of radiation exposure.
