@DESUKASHI Жыл бұрын
@@coldfusionstormgaming1808 i actually forgot that homer is technically a stunted genius, maybe that explains why his brain or inner voice seems so smart. It's his intelligence, it's there he just can't get it to come out? Or maybe the crayon caused a split personality, basically trapping smart homer inside dumb homer. Homer’s fall is very realistic too. When people suddenly lose consciousness their legs collapse from underneath them. The animators captured this perfectly.

God forbid the Simpsons have any running gags or clever mechanics now. They even ruined the couch gags making them minutes on end with no actual gag...
@hobomike69352 жыл бұрын
@@majorpwner241 they shortened the intro, which was riddled with quick, clever jokes, to make time for the really long couch gags at the end that, while sometimes good, often overstay their welcome. never understood that. The modern intro literally skips straight from the sky to homer getting plowed through the garage door.

No one took this episode seriously.. It goes against the fighting hellfish story of Skinners father looking exactly like him....
@Eisenbison2 жыл бұрын
@@itsaguinness Quite the contrary, this episode is significant in that many mark it as the beginning of the show's decline in quality into the hell that is mediocrity, and would never again reach the heights of its former glory. Even Harry Shearer, the voice of Principal Skinner, recalled that after reading the script, he told the writers, "That's so wrong. You're taking something that an audience has built eight years or nine years of investment in and just tossed it in the trash can for no good reason, for a story we've done before with other characters. It's so arbitrary and gratuitous, and it's disrespectful to the audience."
