@@thomashuizinga4618 I got it. They're radiuses around the individual crimes. There's so many it colors the entire map. But there's SO many that in areas they haven't happened, they color a perfect circle around it... Instead of a cloverleaf like shape. Think I'm onto something here. I know in some strategy games I've laid enough watch towers in a ring that you can have a pretty circular area inside the ring of fog of war not covered.

It depends where you watch it, and which version - which particular edit of the various takes - they use for these compilations. They had different names in different takes (called “alts”), and the version that went to Hulu is like a ‘Director’s cut’ of sorts, it has Matchbox 20, and I’m guessing that’s what they used for these compilations. The original network broadcast was Rachael Ray.
