Jonathan Bailey does a great American accent that he manages to keep up through the whole series. I was shocked to hear the British accent when I saw an interview on TV.

Wdym? How does the book portray him?
@angiearbogast54247 ай бұрын
@gp9354 I recently read the book. Tim is portrayed with a lot of insecurities and self-loathing. Tim in the show seems to stand up to Hawk in his convictions compared to the book version.
@treesny6 ай бұрын
The trajectory of Tim's life journey in the novel is really different, particularly after the 1950s. Ron Nyswaner's superb re-conceptualization and expansion of the book is particularly brilliant and moving in the reworked story of Tim.

Matt Bomer has the looks and charm to portray the swagger and arrogance of his character Hawkins. Yet Skippy loves him because he knows deep down inside Hawk loves him despite all the hurt and pain he caused. The heart wants what the heart wants.

I don't get it. Tim doesn't hate Hawk a bit, even at his last stage, but carries a consuming fashion of love. Can this even be real? It's so surreal to me, cos Hawk ruined his affection ability, his career, his health, his almost everything since early years.
