Fearless Year of Shadow is still going. Angry Birds just shown a video of Shadow being in the Angry Bird universe with Eggman as themselves. A lot of people speculated that FYOS ended yesterday, the 20th, but SEGA is still keeping it going.

YEAR OF SHADOW BABEYYY Ive prayed for a show like Dark Beginnings. And sure its only 15 minutes long but id gladly exhange entirety of Prime for another 15 minutes of DB-level goodness. I have yet to see Movie 3 and i cant goddamn wait. I hope the future keeps going strong, it has a lot to live up to

Honestly, my favorite part of this year is the whole Fearless: Year of Shadow campaign. Not just because they made a whole year dedicated to my favorite character, but because they genuinely *did* things with it. When I first saw that trailer(?) I thought they were gonna pull a Year of Luigi and barely commit to showing off Shadow's story and character, but they did *exactly* that and more. Dark Beginnings, Shadow Generations, Sonic 3, all of the social media stuff, Lego, figures, merch, etc., they *fully committed* to Shadow, his story, his many arcs, his tragic past, how he's grown from his experience, and proudly showed him off to *everybody*, and that makes me so happy!

This year is the highest Sonic has been popular since maybe the 90s,with Shadow getting a game,mini series,manga,movie, and entire year where he has his time to shine,Dream Team getting new updates,the upcoming and pretty neat looking Sonic Rumble,Prime Season 3 which may have soured the show's reputation to some people but Nine is honestly such an overhated villain and is an instant favorite for me,whatever happened in the Knuckles show,and just going to the Sonic Symphony in Orlando and being able to play Sonic Generations,the main thing that made me a Sonic fan on the Switch just cements this year as one of Sonic's greatest. Not to mention tons of great fan content with some of my favorites being the return of Sonic Shorts,the hilarious Sonic The Abridgehog series that by The Rollin Nolan that was once a dub of an OVA that's recently dubbed Sonic X, Balena Productions' Sonic In Jurassic Park:T-Rex Chase which is a massive glow up from his old Gmod days,StarBomb's new Sonic song that's kinda a bop, and The Magnificent Motobug by Pip Productions and Garrulous64 and although it technically released last year,it's really cute and charming(Just like the classic badniks,😮😮😮😮) Btw,Keanu is pretty good as Shadow but it should've been Chris Pratt.

My first video game ever was _Sonic 2_ on original Genesis hardware, and I was reintroduced to the series through Sonic Adventure 2. So, yeah, needless to say, my expectations for the series are high, and seeing them finally met is so gratifying. Sonic didn't just recover; he ascended like a phoenix to a level beyond any era in his past.

Spoilers if people haven’t seen the movie. My favorite Sonic moment of the year was when Shadow and Dr. Stone were watching that Spanish Romance Show for no reason and both were invested in it. I was hoping Knuckles would forget to save the Sonic gang and join them.
