Thanks for the tip about Facer. I installed it and really like it; have not noticed that it drains the battery; maybe they fixed that.

Battery drain has always been an issue with Facer but there were rumours that they were issuing a fix. If they want to compete with the other watch face platforms then this is a pretty important fix.

I'm about to get the Samsung Gear S3 Frontier in a few weeks, so was looking for some helpful tips & ideas for faces etc & after seeing all the (usual) "hey what's up youtube" videos that babble on & on I found yours ideal, a simple explanation of what the face does! That's all you need really! There will be hundreds of new faces available now, but at least now I'll know what I'm doing when I get the watch! 👍

Facer is great but it is a massive battery drainer, using any face from it makes my battery life go from 3-1 day, i heard the developer is working on it, but just be warned.

Ray bies True, Facer is really draining. I contacted the developer as it's such a great app, and they informed me they are working on the battery drain problem and hope to fix it soon. Being the type of app it is I'm not sure it can be fixed to be honest but we will see.

Not only that, it sometimes doesnt work well and you get the reset with that big"F" in the watch screen that starts loading again the application.

Some of the watch faces are in 24 hour mode...how do I get them to be in 12 hour mode instead? Thanks for the reviews!

It depends on the version you have. When you download a watch face you "may" have the choice of choosing the 12HR OR the 24HR. Usually there are both options available for a watch face but it can vary so the best thing to do when searching for the watch face you like is to see which versions it comes in and then download that specific on. Hope this helps!

Very nice,, I've tried these, all quite good, some are battery hogs unfortunately and AOD not great on some. The Facer app is very nice but it destroys the battery life. The developers are aware and are working on it. How they can manage to fix it I don't know. It might not be possible, but for now if you want a decent battery life stay away from Facer.

Thx for the comment Brian. It definitely is a hog, I am lucky if I get more than a day when running the Facer app non-stop. Check out my video on how to save battery life...the tips in there help somewhat but you're right, they need to do something specifically about Facer. I am using LG V20 and it's working like a charm with Gear S3! You just need to open app store via Samsung gear app. The one and only problem I had is to open Notifications settings on Gear app after couple of time restarting it starts to work! You can try good luck!

I want to buy the watch but I hear such strong limitations for iPhone users. Im reading on reviews that for iPhone it only offers some faces not the thousands everyone else has. So, has anyone found a backdoor to this? What if I buy a android tablet, would the app work to offer all the faces?

It's just personal preference. I think some people like the mix of traditional with a more modern look at the same time. Personally I prefer an analog watch face but I have seen some nicely designed hybrid varieties as well.
